A bunch of pertinent info missing IMO. If it's not your car, then the PO should post this info.

    1. Which s38 is this? b35, b36, or b38?

    2. What's been done to the motor?

    3. A $15k head rebuild better come with oversized valves, titanium valve seats + retainers, upgraded valve springs, nice cams, etc. If it was factory rebuilt than that's the biggest rip-off I've seen.

    4. What gearing on the custom built rear diff? Percentage of lock-up?

    5. Any frame damage?

Not bashing at all, as I know the worth of the drivetrain and 5-lug alone. Just thought everyone else should know this as well before buying.

GLWS. S38 e30s are awesome. Here's my favorite one, 11 second car!!! :

Means = $, not space. If anyone's "shop" will be housing this for sleeve, it's me.

The PRESENT owner is not on web forums. He is not concerned with selling the car. If it sells, great, if not... we'll find another project for it.

Those who are seriously interested have reached out to speak with us directly over the phone. I'm not concerned about posting a specific bolt by bolt break down for an internet group who has consistently either offered 50% of asking price or less, or asked if I want to part it out after expressly stating numerous times it will not be parted out.

                3) I'm not here to comment on what a shop charged for the head rebuild, all I can do is provide the documented invoices from that shop. (It was not VSR, so I won't speculate on the rate of the rebuild/service or what was completed)

                5) Did you look at the photo or read the ad? It states clearly the chassis is junk, and this is a transplant project. If you can't see the chassis is heavily swayed over in the photos, this isn't the car for you. ;)

                Thanks,
                Chris

AGAIN, THIS WILL NOT BE PARTED OUT. DO NOT PM ME ASKING IF I WANT TO SELL SPECIFIC PARTS!

Springtime has brought renewed interest in selling this setup...

I welcome all seriously interested parties to come and see the car in person.

The description is accurate I went and saw the car

As an potentially interested buyer I went and looked at the car on Sunday. It is as decribed with the following notations and observations I captured in speaking with Mario at VSR1 while looking over the car.

                        >The steering wheel and VAC seat mounts are not inlcuded.
                        >The front and rear bumpers appear to be repairable by anyone who can do work with fiberglass.
                        >There are no brakes currently on the car, my understanding is that it will come with M3 brakes. Not sure what rotors or pads are being offered. I didn't get clarification on this.
                        >The brake booster may/may not need to be replaced.
                        >In the crash the motor was pushed backed slightly, It's uncertain if the crash has tweaked the motor and/or transmission mounts. They should be fine, but will need to be inspected to be sure.
                        >The radiator that is with the car funtions fine during steady state operation but would need to be upgraded for stop/go daily driving.
                        > Didn't get an answer on if the air box is OK and included or if one will need to be fabricated, the car in it's original state had one.
                        >It is my understanding that they are planning to get the motor runnning again soon to demostrate it's OK.

I have done business with VSR1 for long time, they are a great shop to work with. Please don't waste their time with low ball offers, the selling price is firm. It would be a great donner for someone ready to do a swap. All the hard stuff is done.

The 30+ PM's I got after the initial posting asking if I'd sell parts were not just "joking". Hence, the clear notation that the car will not be parted out in numerous posts.

Thanks for the neutral 3rd party feedback Dan.
Hopefully the car finds a good home/chassis to end up in.
