    Seriously disappointing here.

I actually forwarded this to my friend above and Slacker and I were on it since the a.m.

I had a bad feeling that some local would show up and "offer more" because my friend above was not local. I get it, local guy means you'll get rid of the car faster but we offered a god damn deposit to further prove that we were serious buyers.

Not to mention, price gouging at its best here.

Guess its a good thing I didn't go check it out for you. On the ohter hand it would have been fun to test.

Mike seriously? I have complied to any of your request regarding the car, answered all your questions, I even let you speak to another fellow r3v member that have seen the car before my CL ad got linked here. Just for the record, I never hassled you all day about anything. I texted you properly to give me call when you get a chance. Im aware that youre very interested on buying the car but we've never agreed on anything nor me making an actual done deal. Yeah you could have given me a deposit through paypal and have someone pick up the car with the rest of the amount but like what I told you over the phone, the car is up for sale online and people local are constantly calling and texting me about it. So i just did what anyone selling anything would do is entertain potential buyers. Its unneccesary for you to say that im making things up. Last time we spoke on the phone I clearly told you that someone is on thier way to see the car. It is not my intention to ask for more than what im selling the car for. This other guy who showed up an hour later than after we spoke just simply wanted the car and was willing to give me more. Thats why while the guy is still at my house I was texting you to let you know exactly whats going on. So i did what I think is right like you said on one of our texts. I do apologize for not going through with whatever we were discussing over the phone. Like what I told you on our texts, I decided to sell the car locally simply because Im more comfortable with it. I did asked you if you was willing to pay 4000, so? If you werent ok with it then no need to get all dissappointed and start ranting on here. You seemed like a nice guy. Again i apologize for not selling you the car. Its my car, its my decision to sell it to anyone that wants to buy it. Anyways, thanks for your interest.

Im sorry to have disappoint you, but who ar you anyways? I dont know you so im not gonna waste anymore of my time. Oh and whats this price gouging you speak of? I was given a better deal by someone that wanted the car more. Im sorry I asked for a mere hundred bucks more than the deal I already have. Its not a big deal, if your friend mike didnt like my question then he could have just said no. You guys dont need to gang up on me. Oh and by the way, before my CL ad got linked here, another r3v member had first dibs on the car the first night I posted my ad, only if they came up with the cash this car and rims would have been sold for $3700. Peace up.

Thanks for linking my CL ad on here. No worries though. This is the main reason why I didnt posted a for sale ad here coz of situations like this. Blah, cant please everyone I guess. One a good note, once I finally sell this car and fund the other car Im doing and decide to sell it, I'll PM you, you get first dibs on test driving it. 88 E30 M3:p

Everyone needs to calm the fuck down. I was the one in for $3700 and he was very reasonable through the whole process - even offered to hold it for me a day without any kind of deposit. The shitstorm brewing here is a little out of control.

                Local sales typically take precedent.

If anyone wants the car minus the wheels pm me and we can split the cost..assuming it's still for sale.

It wasn't for auction, that's like wasting people's time. You didn't say it was up for auction. Once you post a price and a buyer wants to buy at that price you can't increase the price. It's not a fair trade. I am not gang up on anyone but that seems fucked up. You priced it already, if you didn't want to sell it at that price you drop the post and re-post another one. So people don't get confused and disappointed.
WTB E30. Right now $1500+ Vert or 4 door only.

Price range will increase every month.

For sure, I wasnt the one who increased the price, heck i was even willing to sell it for less before my ad got linked. I just lucked out that this buyer really wanted the car so HE offered to pay more than my asking price to close the deal and since he's local, I decided to make the deal with him instead. What another 100bucks anyways, thats just a couple of hours I can put in here at work, but at the same time with him offering me 100bucks more, theres really nothing more need be said.

I am not Mike. I am his friend. My guess is you wanted a local sale because you knew this car would not be able to make the cross-country trip.
Like you said, whats another $100? If its not a big deal to you, you should have declined that offer and sell it to Mike. I doubt you needed the money THAT second and could not wait for his contact to show up later today with rest of the cash.

Hope the new owner enjoys the car.

Yikes. Sorry, I guess it's my fault for putting this up here. Didn't mean to start an East coast West coast war.

Can't we all just get along?

                              Retarded!

I went through a similar dispute when selling my S52 e30, in the end you just take the first person that shows up with cash!
Thats the way it works at the grocery store right?

I knew the car was going to some d-bag. I call dibs on the ///M3 ashtray. But all seriousness. The seller never claimed the car to be perfect. From a sellers stand point i can understand being hesitant about selling a car on a forum sight unseen. Last thing i'm sure the seller wanted was bad rep about how he sold someone a lemon and won't give them part of their money back. There is a lot of piece of mind as an honest seller if your buyer can sample the goods before laying down dough.
