Great car, just moving on, time for somebody else to enjoy.
Have a very tight enthusiast owned 1988 BMW M6 for sale. Email for information... Craigslist postings haven't been showing up properly. Its time for someone else to enjoy this gorgeous M6. Have owned this car since 1992. It has always been garaged since bought and was at one point a summer only driver. It has been a weekend only car for the last 6 years. I am a BMW enthusiast and am selling because I am looking for a newer BMW to replace my E39 540i that a teenager totaled. I need some garage space, and some extra cash as i am looking for an E60 M5.
It is Cinnabar Red - Zinnoberrot (#138) with grey leather interior. All Original. The interior has no rips or tears. Never stained, and frequently detailed by me. (I used to work as a car detailer for about 15 years). It really is in good shape, and I feel that this is quite a nice car, especially for the mileage. When I drive it, I am reminded how well the germans designed the car. It is very smooth, and when you want it to, the car will deliver great performance. I know this from watching an old video with Rug Cunningham who ran these when new in The La Carrera Classic and was flying with an E24 M6 passing tons of cars.
Build date 10/87. This is a 1988 model year M6 with the small 'world bumpers' and the late ellipsoid headlights. I have had the headlight covers on since I have had the car, so they look like new still. This is one of 319 units produced, quite a rare car.
Currently it has approximately 146,xxx miles and the 16" BBS RS 3 Piece wheels. The wheels alone go for $1200 in the current shape. Willing to remove and sell the car with the TRX metric rims and knock down the price a bit. This car is well maintained, and has been gone through with new brakes and recently replaced SLS pump. When driving it, it really is smooth and tight like it should be.
The glass is all good with no cracks or splits. The AC works great, and everything in the car works like it should. This is a completely rust free example.
The title is free and clear. This really is a nice car.
BMW enthusiast owned with no major repairs ever since I have owned it. I prefer that I know what happens to my cars, so I performed all oil changes and minor upkeep. Since I have owned the car, it has always been stored inside in my garage. The last year I have only been driving it to car shows, and one local BMW drive. If you want an enthusiast owned car that is very tight and clean, this is the car for you. No rust anywhere on this car, and the engine pulls very strong. Never beaten on, as I take car of my cars. The dash is like new without cracks.
Asking $14,000 firm with BBS RS wheels.
Located in Centennial, Colorado.
Cash talks, and I am somewhat motivated to get the car sold. I wanted to get started on looking for a new car, but selling this one is holding me back. If you have cash on hand, then I may be a bit flexible on the price. No lowball offers as this really is a nice car at a fair price. I am an enthusiast and have been watching the national M6 prices. Get an unmolested, all original M6 in great shape for a good price.
See pictures, and if you are interested, send an email and I will respond.
