Keep the car and drop the S5x in there.
At this point it's "just" the cash for the motor, and the time it takes to pull it together. All the other crap is done. Ride it out!Originally posted by blunttechAlways Always go for the reach around if there is an optionComment

Now this asshole is asking $12k simply for driving it to California and preventing locals from buying it even though many of us contacted the seller and tried to keep it local.
OP, you're fucking scum.Comment

Should have offered more to seller. Honestly. Mad at someone for getting a deal?Comment

Not mad at him for getting a deal, mad at him for buying a car that he "had been looking for a very long time" and "had big plans" for and instead just using it to make a quick buck and add to the expenses of whoever ends up restoring it. He clearly had no plans of restoring it.
This guy is a lying scumbag.Last edited by Roland H; 08-09-2011, 10:20 AM.Comment

Wow
I'm sorry if some people got butt hurt over me buying the car.
I was the first to call. He also upped the price after he was bombarded with over 100 calls and tons of emails. I wanted to trade the car and then ppl wanted to buy it. I then posted it on cl for 12k to see if ppl would buy it ad would tell ppl it's for 12k. That's what I want if I part with it. Think of it like a commodity. Who cares what I bought it for? I'm going to end up keeping it now but that bs about being a douche by not letting locals buy it? Come on man
I buy cars all over the U.S.Comment

Okay buddy.
I did. Offered him MORE than asking price ($4500) not even three hours after it was posted, but since this guy in CA called first, he got it. I have a spare s14 to swap into it even.

I do have plans to restore it. Sometimes things change when you get a bill in the mail for an extra $5000 because your college decided to up the price of their tuition in your last semester

College tuition??? LOL wtf? I also knew how much you paid and where it was from. Seriously though, good for you for getting a good deal and if you want to flip it, track it, etc, it's your business. I would be pissed though if I were a local guy looking to restore an M3 and someone from out of state bought it only to try and flip it weeks later but hey, it happens all the time."I'd probably take the E30 M3 in this case just because I love that little car, and how tanky that inline 6 is." - thecj
