Hello all, I haven't owned this Porsche very long. My plan was to make it a track/autox car but decided against the idea. Mainly because I'm 6'3" 240lbs (of pure muscle;)) and too many modifications would have been needed to fit safely inside. So I'm back on the hunt for an e30.
The 944 is in really great shape with detailed history on timing, tensioners, water pump and cam seals. Since I've owned it, I've put on a new set of Dunlop Direeza tires, tune up and a new virgin stainless steel Dansk sport exhaust system. Looks pretty good, I really like 944s. I found one locally which needs a water pump, I might pick it up but not sure how much the water pump will cost.

Visit these sites for parts and forums. They have the best DIY tech articles for Porsche. Also Clark's garage is a must for owning a Porsche. This guy breaks everthing down in full color detail much better than a Bently repair book imho.
As far as water pump, you'll need the timing belt kit too.

Let me put it to you this way, they shouldn't even be in the same sentence together.
They are 2 different animals but if it comes to performance its not even close.
Even the beloved e30 m3 is SHIT compared to a 944 turbo.
but if your looking to mod the 944 turbo you better have some deep pockets cauzz its going to cost you.
my 944 turbo was a monster on and off the track but man did i pay for it.
im actually looking to get another one with in a year as well if i can find the room.

^ he is right, they are completely different cars, in my opinion my 944 n/a will out perform my ix and my buddies e30 anywhere any time but you can't do anything to an n/a to make it faster. The turbo's have a lot if potential but it's expensive but 300 whp is easy to reach. However ill drive my beat up e30 any day of the week before it's so much more fun.
