    WTT: Complete s54 swap for well sorted e30

    Looking to trade a complete s54 swap for a well sorted e30/e36... preferably an e30.

    What I'll include:
    Motor
    6mt Transmission
    All related harnesses
    ECU
    Cluster
    Diff if you want it
    Anything in the engine bay to help make the swap happen for you.

    The S54:
    • rod bearing recall performed
    • vanos filter serviced/vanos bolts were tight when inspected but were not replaced
    • 120,xxx mi
    • smooth running, no ticks/knocks/issues.
    • CPV just changed
    • Clutch has approx 15,000 mi (oe luk), replaced main seal, flywheel turned.
    • trans serviced with royal purple syncromax when clutch was done
    • ECU has shark 93 oct flash, rev limiter bumped to 8600, post cat o2 disabled.


    Ill throw in a set of turner street pulleys with new belt as well.

    What I'm looking for:
    Must be manual
    Well sorted, I dont want a wiring nightmare or a rust bucket. Im really looking for a good clean shell that may need some minor TLC.
    mods arent a concern, but are a plus.

    Cash value of vehicle expected to be equivalent to the parts im offering. Because of the accident (passenger side, pole damaged shell) the car will not start, therefore I currently do not have video of the car running recently.

    Ill also sell the swap outright

    What year did the motor come out of?

    When was the last valve adjustment performed?

    Why was the motor pulled?

    Any running vids of the motor before it was pulled?

    Any leakdown/compression test numbers?

    What oil was used for oil services?

    Lastly ... Price? Very interested.

        I had tagged a pole with the car on the passenger side and cannot afford for insurance to go up. I still owe a small amount on the car and am looking to sell or trade the swap to recoup some of the losses and at least get into a bmw i'll still enjoy for the time. If I sell I'll be buying an E53, if I trade, it will be for a nice example of a drivers e30.

        Sadly no, I havent touched the car since the accident. Im not sure if the fuel supply cut from impact, or what is causing it to not start but was planning on addressing that issue tomorrow. its hard to trust a mans word on a large investment, so a running video/ hearing it in person is on the agenda.

        Any leakdown/compression test numbers?
        Not currently, ill see if i can get the compression tomorrow as well. I had driven the car almost daily with absolutely no hiccups.

        What oil was used for oil services?
        The car was serviced by the po at the dealership what looks to be for every service interval. I have all the paperwork from the original owner regarding the bearing recall, date it was done, etc. Since I have owned it I've serviced every 4500 with mobil 0w40 and the lucas synthetic additive.

        Lastly ... Price? Very interested.
        with everything youd need from the bay, shifter assembly if you wanted it (oem ssk, zhp knob) etc, id like to get somewhere around 5500 for it. if im out of line on price talk with me before you flame me.

          motor and accessories (turner pulleys, belt, ecu, complete harness) - $3000
          if youre looking to run standalone, dont want the pulleys etc id come down a lot.

          If you're getting motor, trans, all harnesses, all accessories, diff, shifter, ecu, and anything else swap related from the car-- $5500

              I will ship within the con-us. I have a reliable person that hits texas and every state in between on a regular basis. Otherwise best cost would be the factor for anywhere else.

                  Regarding it not running, there is a kill switch after a severe impact on most BMW's. Try disconnecting the battery and starting it then. I would be all over this as spare for my M Coupe if I had the cash.

                    Attempted to disconnect/reconnect battery with no results. I believe the main power junction was damaged in the accident. sharky, check your email!

                        Try putting jumper cables on the power points in the engine bay.

                          ive had nothing but rain here since the accident and no space to work on the car inside. The pole crushed the drug bin in pretty good and i need to cut the hood off.
