    1986 MBZ 190E 2.3-16V Classic

I may be parting with a project I started but unfortunately don't have the time or disposable income to invest to finish the way it deserves...

1986 190E 2.3-16V auto. (W201.034- 199/040) Blau-schwartz metallic (Glassurit) Yes... The classic Cosworth legend, less than 2,900 cars imported to the U.S.

First my assessment, needs paint, interior redone, catalytic converter (uninstalled), K1 transmission spring and tune-up kit (uninstalled), new coolant tank (uninstalled), couple windows aren't functioning, SLS suspension disconnected... Just needs TLC, price adjusted for market value. I'd rather a German car enthusiast get it than eBay.

The good... New crack free dash installed, running motor, new low temp. thermostat installed, new oem radiator, new DTM muffler, chrome AMG 17"x 8.25" wheels (newer tires w/90% tread included)

My plan was to restore as a daily driver with 100 shot direct port nitrous with a new independent Bosch -044 fuel pump to deliver 100 octane from the 3 gal. fuel cell. Which is also available in the deal.

And no the BMW is NOT for sale. ;)

    $3700. obo

Another one of my all time favorites! Post some more pictures

Also, your right front tire should be on the left side of the vehicle. Its directional.

OK garage iPhone pics, since it's raining... Good as it gets.

Yeah, the tow hook flap is MIA :( Transmission kit and dashboard sheild in windshield)

3 yr. old OEM BEHR radiator less than 100 miles on it.

Fusebox was cleaned with a brush, electrical contact cleaner, and di-electric grease on fuse tips

Will take interior pics and more body pics when the rain abates. C'mon tire-kickers shoot me some reasonable offers.

OK so I'm contemplating selling again, I'm into this project @$5900, tags are current but it is almost as hungry as my M3.

So here's the story... It has new tie rod ends, new radiator, new coolant reservoir, new brake fluid reservoir, new ATE brake fluid flush, new front brake pads & rotors new pads in the rear, new iridium plugs, new battery, like new tires they have @800 miles on them front and rear been on the car for 2 years, new catalytic converter, DTM tip muffler, interior is 7.8/10 leather is a little "dry" but in decent shape dash was swapped 2 years ago so no cracks and the car starts the first turn of the key.

The issues: during the dash swap the gauge cluster went out, I'm working on it... the automatic transmission K1 spring kit was installed. The sunroof switch was removed by PO. and finally it needs paint.

It is drivable so if you want to come test it out lmk! I'm not pressed to sell as i have a 15yr. old I can keep fixing it up for but the M3 is still bleeding my wallet, along with 3 kids and 3 cars... Somethings gotta give.

                    Looking for $6500 obo

I will make some concessions but considering the true history and number of cars in the US... I've owned 3-e30's and none compare to the 190E-16V (turning radius / handling, luxury of the era, or durability) except the M3... And both MBZ & Audi beat up BMW in '91/'92 season. I digress, it is what it is, I'm not pressed to sell just trying to make back what I put in... any padding is for stuff I know I forgot.

Pics... I can take more but I haven't received any firm offers and there is an open invite to drive it.

Oh yeah, I bought a brand new key and the last front tow hook cover in the US.

^Yes I agree. And I think it's a shame that the 190e 16v only worth 1/3 of the E30 M3. You should hit up Captruff as he buys everything. I also have a similar pair myself, except it's an 85 euro grey market. I say try to keep them both.

Yeah I'm just feeling out the market... Nice pic! I like them both and my daughter will likely get it in a year or so if I don't throw my nitrous Cheater direct port kit on it. ;)

I'm looking for another project to wrench on since the M3 turbo is almost... (let me not jinx it...)
