I wouldn't sell. As soon as you get another car you will start realizing nothing beats the feel of an e30. I cant imagine finding another MT2 4dr would be that easy, especially one that you know all of the maintenance history on.
I unbolted the buckles and rotated them. One is always going to be closer than the other, not much can be done about it other than welding in a new mounting point. ;)
Hardly. OP needs to part the car if he wants more than $5k. It is not in $7,200 condition for today's market. Claims it has close to 400k miles... paint is a crappy respray, 5 footer car... Pics don't match description... I think I've said enough already. With some polish, this thing could easily turn $8k...
It seems that when an owner posts their car for sale, they generally post it for what it is worth to them.
If people don't want to buy it at that price, then they wont, which in turn will motivate the seller to drop the price until it generates interest. Generally it's lack of interest that drives prices down, not forum gripes.
If this seller doesn't actually want to get rid of the car too badly, in this case, a "feeler" situation, then they will leave the car posted for what they feel it is worth to them. If an offer big enough comes by, great! Otherwise they get to keep their baby.
You know how love/hate e30's can be. I don't blame anyone for posting a feeler for their e30 at a high price, I get it.
