I guess I'm curious as to what the deposit was for. The seller might be in the right to keep the entire thing since the buyer was the one that flaked out. I'd be interested in seeing what the terms of the agreement were before calling it for either side.

I just hope that everything works out, one way or another.

What were the terms of the deposit? I've always thought a deposit meant either "I want the car 100% and I'll pay the balance when I pick it up" or "I really really want the car, not 100% sure, but I cant look at it until next week, so here's $XXX to hold it for me until I can see it."

So I guess I'm missing why a deposit would be returned if it was the buyer that blew up the deal. But I'm probably missing something obvious.
