For sale is my '88 E30 325is coupe, automatic. The car is black with black sport leather seats, approximately 150K but the ODO stopped working around 147K. Engine and tranny are very strong..no leaks. Clean title in hand.
I have driven this car to Maine and back from Boston area 4 times so far without issue.
Interior:
I have removed all of the carpeting from the car because I used this car only for autocross (3 times). I also removed the sound deadening material under the carpeting and was surprised that the car has no rust! I still have all of the black leather sport seats stored, but only re-installed the drivers seat since I was using this car for autocross. I also removed the rear door cards (black), which are in great condition..and still have them.
The front door cards are also in tremendous shape and are still installed. The dash looks practically brand new, but is missing the glove box. I also junked some other random interior parts..such as the center console/shifter area pieces. All electronics work, even the remote start installed by the previous owner works.
Exterior:
The paint is black, and is in decent shape for the age of the car. No rust, no major dents or dings, but typical parking lot dings here and there. No major scratches, and no rust besides around the license plate lights. The car was undercoated years ago, so this helped prevent rust. I believe the front lower valance is missing. I have barely driven this car much over the past year, so it never bothered me.
Engine:
The engine is strong as an ox with no leaks. Has always started right up, even after sitting for months. The tranny shifts smooth.
The only thing I have noticed in the drivetrain is the guibo will vibrate from a stop for a couple seconds if you accelerate quickly. Otherwise, it can't be noticed. I am including a box of new parts with the car that I paid $400 for, and a new guibo and center main bearing are included. I also am including tons of new coolant hoses, water pump, etc.
Other than the fact that I added blackout kidney grilles and removed some of the interior pieces (again, I still have the rear seats, rear door cards, and passengers seat, they are sport seats)..the car has not been modified. I autocrossed it three times, and it performed very well. I was going to just keep this car as a track toy, but I no longer have the room to store it and just need to sell it.
"My loss is your gain", as they say. Asking $900.
Here are some pics from when I bought it, the last pictures are the most recent. Again, the picture showing the process of the carpet stripping was an in-progress shot, the carpeting has been removed.
