FYI, for all that may be interested in this car, I looked at it a month ago, and it is grossly misrepresented by the seller.
There is undercoating spray all the way up to the lower trim on both sides of the car. This was not preventative rust repair by any means. There are evident rust fixes, and rust poking through the poor job someone did trying to cover up the rust. Rear valence rust has also been poorly repaired and showing its ugly side. Front valence is mangled. There is pealing clear coat very evident on the drivers door and probably many other places. Dings, scraped up, etc. Sure, it's an old car... but this is beyond reasonable wear and tear to a paint job.
I walked 3/4 around this car and spent a total of 2 minutes to assess that this is far from a decent shell, before hopping back in my car and leaving. I'll put it this way... before even stepping out of my car, parked 10 feet away, I could see the rusty and mangled rear valence, and almost just turned around and left. My girlfriend who is new to e30's felt the same way before opening her car door.
I would have expected a little more honesty from the seller as I drove 5 hours to see this rusty e30 and had invested over $200 in gas/tolls/hotel as well as wasting most of my weekend.
Also... I'd suggest if you are interested in this car, which if the price point keeps dropping, it could end up being good for something (part it out, track/autox build, etc.), do not give the seller a deposit. It took weeks of hounding the seller to get my deposit back, less some supposed "paypal fees". Do your homework, google the seller, you "may" find more reasons not to send $$.
