    Mileage? Engine shots? Engine type?

      Engine

The car has somewhere around 230K miles on the chassis (the few parts that I haven't replaced that is). It appears that the PO decided to press the trip odometer while the car was moving.... 24 year old gears don't like that, as we all know. I replaced the gears and all works fine now.

The engine has about 20K miles on it

I will be taking more photos today.

      Thanks for the question

Oh sorry you asked about the engine.

        It is the correct m20 2.5l 6-cyl

Too much mileage and stock engine at that price.

You are entitled to your opinion.. but, it would be nice if you had a clue about the subject matter.

            Complete new engine $4600
            Paint and Prep $4000
            Completely re-upholstered interior $950
            Tires $700
Brand new suspension, cap, rotor, center bearing, plugs, A/C, etc $$$

I never intended to sell the car and have no illusion about getting my money back out of the car.

I would appreciate it if, with all do respect to your obvious infinite knowledge and wisdom with respect to the value of any given vehicle, you could keep your nose out of my sale.

If you are interested.. great, if not, butt the hell out.

Or at least tell me what the devil the amount of miles on the car has to do with anything since I have effectively rebuilt the whole thing.

            Have a great day.

                      Hey n00b,

You priced WAY too high for that high of mileage and a stock engine.

He wasn't being a dick and shitting on your thread - just someone who encouraged you to be more realistic in price, but then you acted like a douche about it, so I'll let you know that you sound like a fucking asshole posting your car for sale double what is reasonable.

And it's "due" not "do", btw.

Good luck selling it for that price, you're going to need it. And probably also an attitude adjustment.

Apologies for not meeting your grammatical expectations.

I am not going to engage in a debate with you about anything whatsoever as you obviously have no respect for the amount of work or money that goes into a project.

I don't feel compelled to argue with someone who is simply trying to make himself feel either intelligent or important.

bottom line.. you can't build what I am selling for anywhere near what I am selling for..

It is people like you that chase true enthusiasts away from forum sites.

Take care and please be so kind as to leave me alone.

Maybe I just expect people to understand that money that gets sunk into a car does not mean they will raise the value of the car, or that simply replacing some wear items does not negate the age or mileage on their vehicle completely.

Your project looks like a completely stock car, charging several times more than what you could find a similar condition (and lower mileage one for). No one cares if it's a 20K engine vs. solid running / well-maintained 120K one, or new paint versus really nice stock paint. Hence, they can find much better cars for less money.

I spent a LOT more on previous E30s, and replaced a lot more than just spring and struts and engine work, and never would claim to believe the car was entirely new afterwards. I also didn't expect to use maintenance cost math to pad the selling price.

This is R3V, if you can't handle opinions of the OGs here... maybe don't come here and make a new account just to peddle your overpriced car.
