    WTB: Midwest 5-speed E30

Looking to get back into the game; need to drive something with a soul again.

I'm looking for any year delphin/cardinal 5-speed 325is coupe. Any silver or grey/cardinal color combo coupe would make me excited though.

BUT, if you're selling a running 5-speed e30 that has decent paint, clean seats, and resides in the Midwest, show me what you got.

    Hey man,

Eventually I will be selling my coupe - I am looking for an e30 sedan. Here is the info

    1990 bmw 325i coupe
-delphin gray (paint is only 4/10). roof and doors rough looking, front fenders resprayed with very bad orange peel
-black interior with 1 vinyl sport seat and 1 leather sport seat but they look pretty much the same. I have a spare vinyl sport seat that matches but it is in sub-par shape
    -213k miles
-t-belt done at 208k miles but water pump doesnt have fan thread on it (this was primarily a track car for a while so I didnt want a fan). if you are driving in hot weather or lots of traffic, recommend replace waterpump with one with fan threads
-heat, power windows, crank sunroof work great
-aftermarket high-end JVC CD player with tilting display
    -digital clock, no trip computer
    -No A/C
-drivers side key hole is InOp. However all 3 power locks (driver, passenger, trunk) work great. You can lock, unlock all 3 by hand from inside or from the trunk or passenger door key holes
-no rust (a requirement for all my e30s)
-factory carpet removed and cheap, light home depot carpet installed. far from a professional level job
-loping idle - maybe from a vacuum leak? Ive researched it a little over the past year but it doesnt really affect driveability

I have lots of bolt-on goodies that I could remove or replace to keep the costs down. options include

-16" BBS RX wheels with hub centric 10mm spacers
    -Mtech I steering wheel
-Mtech II steering wheel 270mm (I would rather keep this)
-Spectre air intake filter (low-buck ebay unit)
    -SuperSprint muffler
-superloud aftermarket muffler, brand unknown, bad condition
    -Dinan Chip
-Drilled front rotors, with brand new in box drilled rear rotors
-3.25 limited slip diff (great for high speed cruising)
-4.10 limited slip diff (high acceleration, good for autox or track days)
-lowering springs, brand unknown from previous owner (another r3ver)
-drop hats on front suspension for a further drop
    -e28 sport rear spoiler
-rear license place filler (US version)
    - I have a spare vinyl sport seat that matches but it is in sub-par shape

The car is very reliable - I take it to Road America from Chicago, for example, and to SW Wisconsin. It has never given me anything to worry about.

I know s_ribs had been on the fence about selling his 91 sedan. Pull up his build thread if you are interested.

Thanks for the link and for posting. I think we are too far apart on price to make it a good deal for either of us. Thanks though and nice work finding a rust-free one!

Yeah the price.... I know. I don't even want to look at the receipts to find out how much I have actually spent. And the worst part is that I probably will dump another 2g's into her in the spring, and I still wont get what I find reasonable. The car is seriously amazing to drive as she sits, anyone who thinks an "e" is slow can go, well you know, play with them self... The P.O. screwed me by saying some things were done, and they weren't. I also made a lot of mistakes when I pieced everything together, and I spent probably 2g's more than I had to. Knowing what I know now, I would have done a lot different and could have gotten an even better car for the amount I spent. Oh well.
