Got some in it... I know you can't see them, but they are under the laser cut (hex-o-mat all-weather) mats in the driver and passenger side. I should take a photo of the car without the protective mats covering the stock ones. The stock mats look okay, but I am just a bit OCD about my hoofs touching the carpet of the car or mats in all my vehicles.

Just freshened up the fluids and had a professional BMW mechanic conduct a compression test and give the car two hours worth of labor checking everything out to ensure there is nothing missed internally on my car. Compression test was solid and dead even across the board. The mechanic said this was the cleanest and smoothest e30 he had ever seen, driven or worked on--ever. Of course, that is hearsay, but for what it's worth...

Email sent to your contact information. Car is still available and has been in a brick garage since two days before the hurricane. We got a lot of wind and lost power for a week, but we didn't get any flooding in my area. Hope all on this forum in the Tri-state area are safe and secure after the storm. Turboton92, thanks for the interest, look forward to speaking with you.

I'm not trying to hate or poop on your car but I don't get what all the hype is all about. To me it's still a 86 325es with an appearance pkg. I tend to not get caught up in the goodies because unless its an alpina/m3 e30 it's a money pit. GLWS op in this tough time to sell a car.Comment

I'll take that as a firm "No" on you making me an offer...I'm not trying to hate or poop on your car but I don't get what all the hype is all about. I think we can all agree the box for "money pit" is immediately checked the moment you let out the clutch in an e30--that's half the fun! To some, this car is overpriced, but to others, it is underpriced--I think I am being fair to the market that values this particular car--people that appreciate the rarity of an OEM European appearance package precisely matched to a stock eta in immaculate condition and done the right way.
Class---Sporty Economy---Reliability---Neck Breaking Good Looks. For people that want to drive the aforementioned, this 1986 325 ES MTech I is definitely a car worth considering. Thanks for making a very good point, which is exactly why I love driving a Vintage BMW...

Remember the es gets great gas mileage:)
I had an es a few years back. Nice running, enough power for everyday use, and great gas mileage!! Fast....well no, but you are buying this car so you don't have to 'find' all these parts at crazy prices.
gl, still a nice car, good that you had it in a brick garage:)

I don't know if I get it or not. I don't see any hype, just an extraordinary example of a tastefully done and lovingly maintained, low mileage E30.I'm not trying to hate or poop on your car but I don't get what all the hype is all about. To me it's still a 86 325es with an appearance pkg. I tend to not get caught up in the goodies because unless its an alpina/m3 e30 it's a money pit. GLWS op in this tough time to sell a car.
I think I understand your money pit logic, but I don't believe it's entirely accurate or applicable here. I don't see any comparable cars selling for less. Will it appreciate as fast as an Alpina or E30 M3? No. When you factor the cost of ownership, it might still be a better investment, ROI wise, than an Alpina or E30 M3, though.
That's just me though, I really love the way this car was done.sigpic
