Hey guys, I really don't know why I'm doing this..but I am!
I've caught the "I want something new" bug, so I'm putting my girl up for sale or trade. I've owned it about a year and a half now..purchased it from an older gentleman in Hampton, VA whose son would daily it, I belive he said a total of maybe 10 miles a day from home to school/work..was completely stock.
About 6 months into it I noticed a slight water pump leak, so I went ahead and knocked out the timing belt, water pump, thermostat, and all of that good stuff. All work performed by two of my techs from my old Honda dealership. A few months after that, I replaced the suspension with a set of JOM coilovers, and have been on those for just about a year now. Complete fronts. In the rear I'm just running the top spring pad and the spring (I believe I still have the lower pads and adjusters as well as stock suspension pieces). Front tires are worn from the camber brought on by the coils..but the rears are still okay.
About 6 months ago I had the transmission replaced (G260), as well as the driveshaft and center support. All of that work was performed by a licensed BMW tech at Chercked Flag BMW in Virginia Beach. Most recently I had a brake line rupture on me while driving..luckily with no problems. Replaced that line as well as the front pads while I was in there. Was planning to turn the rotors, but didn't have the time. So all rotors could probably use a turning, and I've also got rear pads/brake wear sensors to go with the car that I haven't installed yet.
Car runs strong and drives great. I've driven it like it deserves to be driven. It's been to Helen, GA for Sowo and back and forth between Greenville, NC and Virginia Beach, VA..where it's currently located and used as my daily. I would not hesitate to take this car anywhere!
- 1988 325e
- Cirrusblau (well..almost, lol)
- ODO reads 196,xxx - Estimated to be around 210,xxx
* GOOD *
- Starts everytime, runs strong, drives great.
- New front pads (new rear to come with as well)
- Year old timing belt/cooling system parts.
- Newer, smooth transmission.
- New battery as of maybe 4-5 months ago.
- Front bumper converted to plastic (rear done before it was mine..not done very great though)
- Interior is in great shape (Started replacing blue with black - Still needs upper portion of rear seat, two front seats, and carpet)
- Also have some frenched fogs to go along with it.
* BAD *
- Leaky/Off track sunroof
- Both fenders have a good dent in them..but should still be able to be worked out.
- Other small dents and dings around the exterior/paint is 24 years old
- Front tires are pretty worn from camber
- Typical M20 valve tick..but what E30 doesn't have this, lol.
- Typical ODO gears broken.
I really do love this car, I have no clue why I want to get rid of it, but I'm looking for something new, and I'm willing to consider all trades offered. With the work and love put into it I'd probably set a starting price at $3,000. I've also got a set of 16x7.5" +15 (5x120) OZ Fittipaldi Wheels that can go with the car for an additonal $500. PM/email me with any info/offers. Or TEXT me at twofivetwo.202.oneonefivethree.

Here's a shot of one of the wheels..other three in pretty much identical shape.
