just hang on to it for a few more months, then I'll fly out to CA and buy it. Seriously.

Bumping this back up. It's still a feeler since the car I'm in no way prepared to sell the car yet, but my parents want it gone soon.
$5000.
Interior doesn't have a headliner, but thats something I'm planning on picking up at a junkyard next time I'm in San Diego. Just crossed over 270,000 miles today, still runs like a fucking champion. Doesn't burn oil, no loss of coolant, no steering rack leakage, nothing.
Here's a complete mod list, just so you don't have to look back at page one:

Exterior:

Umnitza Angel Eye projector headlights
Prolumen HID 5000k kit

euro tail lights
euro front turn signals
progressive tint all around
repainted hood and driver side fender
debadged
Wheels:
M-Parallel replicas; 18x8, 18x9.5
Pirelli PZero Nero M+S; 245/40, 265/35
Interior:
replaced rear speaker deck
replaced rear seat
///M shift knob
vinyl shift console
Hamann replica pedals and dead pedal
Sound:
Alpine CDA-9851 head unit
a/d/s 5.25" front components coupled with stock mid-range woofer (front)
5.25" Pioneer Premier speakers (rear)
Alpine V-12 amp

Honestly, I would trust it to go to 400,000. I see nothing wrong with the motor, transmission, differential, etc. I just got back to Arizona, so I'm scheduling a service appointment to get the timing done as well as flush all the fluids, alignment, and possibly put in a new driveshaft that allows for removable u-joints (price would go up if I do get the DS, probably to $5300).Comment

I'd give you $5k and a reach around for that for sure if I had the cash right now. I'm going to be looking for an E34 I think for a nice winter car after my M6 is done. I may be trading in my 325ix for my brother-in-law's cherry 2003 540iA M-sports package... mmmm...
Anyway... keep bumping this cos someone on this board is definitely going to get it. But you seem to have so much luck finding nice cars maybe I'll just give you a finders fee when I start looking for a mint cali car (either an E34 or an E30 325iX).Comment

Here is a folder with 44 pictures of the car. The interior and the driveshaft are really the only things that need to be fixed on this car. For the $5000 I'm asking for, you're really paying for the maintenance that has been done to it in the last 10,000 miles.
For $5500, I'll put in a rebuilt driveshaft (that has been remanufactured to allow the u-joint to be replaceable, saving you lots of money in the future) that will get rid of the 1/2 gear vibrations.
I will not be replacing any other interior parts except for the headliner, so for the most part, what you see is what you get.
Recent maintenance:
new control arms and bushings from a 750i
subframe bushings
replaced rotors and pads
replaced rear seat, rear speaker deck, rear pillar trim
valve adjustment
fuel filter
oil change
air filter
spark plugs
Notes for the pictures:
• that knick is the only damage to the dashboard
• I have a replacement for the center console portion where the phone has been cut out
• headlights are HID 5000k, highbeams are rather weak, but are never necessary because of the driving light output
• alternator looks to be newish, I can't confirm this though
• all the VINs match up (WBAHD1318LBF10347)
• engine starts up, idles, and revs without error

NOTE: This car isn't officially for sale, this is all just to spark interest. I will be looking to sell the car in the next 2 months though. However, if you like what you see, and want to buy the car AS IS immediately, I could sell it.Comment

If the alternator was rebuilt, atleast if it was a ZF rebuild, it'll have a stamp on it.Trevor Ely
