1990 BMW 325is, 151,XXX miles, ice cold A/C, sunroof, strong M20, 5 speed, 4.10 limited slip, Viper alarm w/keyless entry. Car is located in Northern Arizona.
Sterling Silver exterior on silver leather w/tinted windows. Full tool kit in trunk.
Car runs excellent and has a clean AZ title and history. No accidents, 2 VERY minor dents, no rust, working odometer, no check engine lights, no codes, no cracks in the dash. Interior is excellent, smells like an E30.
Car was originally from Oregon/PNW area.
I have a roughly 2” thick folder with nearly complete service records & receipts, including all receipts for recent upgrades/service that I and the PO performed (listed below).
I am a 13 year BMWCCA member and do all maintenance/modifications myself.
I bought the car September 2011 from a BMWCCA member in Spokane, WA. I drove the car home to AZ from WA with 0 issues (~1,200 miles).
Reason for sale is I'm getting ready to start the restoration of my ’73 2002 and could use a few extra bucks. Excluding the ~1,200 mile drive home from WA I’ve only put ~1000 miles on the car so it is not being driven.
Most modifications listed below are new and installed within the last 500 miles unless noted:
New UUC EVO3 SSK w/DSSR and Delrin carrier bushings
New BavAuto clutch kit (Installed by PO)
BavAuto springs (Installed by PO)

New Stromung cat-back exhaust (sounds fantastic, ~1 month wait on these)

OEM Rear license plate filler
New Mtech II steering wheel (old airbag wheel included)

New wiper blades (Rain-X)
New front and rear Roundels
New Pilkington windshield
Full exterior detail/polish (including rear & side glass), paint shines beautifully
New Boston SE50 5 1/4" component speakers front & rear, Alpine 9874 CD head unit
Wired for amp in trunk but amp is not included
Notes:
I have the original air bag steering wheel and air bag with all parts to re-install, just need to reconnect the SRS computer.
Everything works except for the cruise control. The car is a 5 speed swap and the cruise wiring needs to be connected, I just have not had the time or need. The 5 speed swap was done side by side with a donor ’89 325is by the PO and he did a fantastic job.
The passenger side fog light needs to be replaced as it is cracked. It still functions fine.
The shifting is a bit notchy due to the UUC SSK.
This car is incredibly clean for its age. No tears/cracks in the seats, no cracks in the dash, no stains in the carpet or seats.
Issues:
The car has its fair share of rock chips being 23 years old with the original paint, but nothing out of the ordinary.
The car has a light shimmy in the steering wheel when the tires are cold. This is due in part to the tires flat spotting from being parked for long periods. I’ll also include 2 new front E30 M3 offset CAB’s w/arms or E36 M3 CAB’s w/arms in case it is a tired bushing issue, buyers’ choice.
There is a small blemish in the clear coat on the hood, it is NOT the clear coat peeling. It looks more like some jackass tried to remove something in/on the paint and was too aggressive. My detailer could not remove it without sanding through the clear.
The car is leaking oil from the oil pan drain plug at the rate of ~1 drop per day. It looks like the pan was whacked at the drain plug but I see no cracks and there are no other leaks.
The drilled front rotors are a bit noisy under heavy braking due to the aggressive hole pattern. I’m including a new set of Wilwood non-drilled rotors with the car, as well as a set of DTC05 pads for the front.
Typical M20 idle. I swapped the fuel filter and there was no change. ICV is working. AFM may be due for a rebuild.
Asking price is $8,750 OBO. I have the clear AZ title in hand. To get the price down I can either reinstall the original front brakes, replace the Apex wheels with a clean set of 16” ASA JS1’s, or do both. VIN is available on request. Contact me by email at braineaters [at] cableone [dot] net. if you are serious and I will email more pictures.
I’m also interested in rare/cool 2002 (especially Alpina) parts in partial trade such as Tii front struts, Tii boxed trailing arms, M10 full tubular top mount turbo manifold (T2/T3), Borg Warner EFR 6258 turbo, Haltech, Motec, 15X7 4X100 ET12-ET0 Alpina/BBS RS etc.
