CLEAN!!! CA BLUE PLATE!! 5 spd 1985 318i FS: Socal

THIS CAR IS NO LONGER FOR SALE IN CA (UNLESS YOU WANT TO DRIVE 1000 MILES TO PICK IT UP...LOL) -- ITS IN PORTLAND, OR

What we have here is a alpine white 1985 318i, 4dr, 5 speed manual, sunroof (works and no leaking!!), power windows (all work, but drivers sometimes stops halfway). AC blows cold, all switches functioning, rear defrost, power antanae etc. Only thing that doesn't work is the cruise control -- but in socal, who needs that anyways?

This car has original paint (not even 1 dent -- couple door dings is all) and has only ONE PREVIOUS OWNER!!! All oil change and tuneup/inspection 1's receipts from the very first one to the most recent. Serviced by Euro-Performance world in Mission Viejo, this car is so clean it blows my mind everytime I look at it.

Its fresher than my 1995 M3, and it pains me like hell to sell, but im moving out of state and don't need all the cars.

I have no idea on the mileage but its somewhere around 210,000 -- odom stopped at 198k, but based on the receipts in the car (all logged in the original owners manual by the servicing mechanic), 210k is reasonable.

This car still has a lot of "pep" for its age and needs nothing except its due for some new brakes (not squealing or anything yet, but you can just tell), maybe a muffler, and I was palnning on replacing the control arm bushings soon.

The tires are practically brand new. As for the rims, I was told they were original, although I have never seen anything like these, but you can see the rims are a roundel design (the black slits are in the roundel pattern) and have bmw center caps -- I can't imagine an aftermarket company making rims with a pattern like this without licensing issues? (I checked and they are original RONAL rims)

The interior, as you can tell was recently re-upholstered (by previous owner)and looks great. The only things I have done to the car since I bought it is to replace the idle control relay and idle control valve, and regular oil changes. I drive the car to work everyday and it gets 30+ mpg and runs great on the fwy. I also put in a cheap cd player -- all the original speakers even sound great.

Sorry for the longwinded description -- please let me know if you ahve any questions. Feel free to PM me (no e-mails please, I hardly check it), or call me on the cell: 949-322-9545

Im looking for $2800 OBO -- I would love to see this car go to an enthusiast and am willing to entertain all reasonable offers.

JUST MOVED TO PORTLAND, OR -- PRICE HAS BEEN REDUCED TO $2500 OBO, and I just put new brake pads on the front as well.

    here are some pics:

wow, I've never seen a 318 look that good and be that old, usually these are crapped on and scrapped by now.

thanks - thats exactly why its hard for me to part with it...its just like the "automotive fairytale", a little old lady owns the thing for 20 years and then I randomly found it (wasn't even looking for another car)!

One thing i forgot to mention above is that there are about 3 small cracks in the dash (as usual with this era car it seems!). You can see them in the pics, and I have a custom dash mat that I keep on it just so it doesn't get worse but I took it off so you can see the cracks in the pics.

      Thanks for looking!

Wow, this car reminds me of a good friend that had this exact car, but it was rear ended and sent him into a tree. This car would be right up his alley.
