I don't live in Georgia, but you may have answered your own question.... The cats are there and it's running well. It should pass a sniffer test.

Does anybody know if this thing will pass here in ga ? I know they run obdII but if it's not there will they do the tailpipe sniffer ... Or does the car automatically fail? I'm seriously considering saving this car. Don't really have the space... But hell I can always park it at a buddy's house ;)

Unless you live in the boonies, there is no way to pass emissions with this car in MD.

So, what is the VIN status of this car? Does it still have a European VIN? How was it imported?

Yeah I know it won't pass in MD. Which is why I keep my permanent residence in Montana! :-) No emissions testing :-)

Is this car federalized or is it just a Florida thing?

If your state does emissions testing via the OBDII port, that will be a problem as it has none. If your state does emissions testing via tailpipe sniffer, then you should be fine. The catalytic converters are present.

To rephrase the question asked above: Does it have a FL title or a title from any other US state?

To help out on a few questions, almost every state has exempt counties for smog/emissions, if you registered your car under a PO Box in that county then you are 'exempt' you will just need to renew online.

I ran Autocheck/vin history,it checks out, it shows it as a clean title no accidents on record, it does show previous owners and reg renewals.

I wish I had the money for this right now, but I just bought my law books for next semester and it has left my pockets strapped. Such a waste if it gets parted. Could you shoot me a message when you post part list if it does make it to part out?
