    1990 325i M50

    SOLD!

It pains me to write this but Im selling my 1990 325i (M50) coupe. Ive own this car for 8+ years and have put a lot of work into it. The car was completely stock when I bought it. It comes with a salvage title due to an accident (before my ownership). It took a hit to the right front which caused the rail to crush but it has been aligned several times are drives straight and within spec. The car has been repainted at some time in its life so the paint (imo) could use a respray if your picky. I did bring a lot of it back to life (plus some) but showroom condition, nope.

The vinyl coming off the center bottom of the drivers seat and a passenger bottom bolster. There is no rust at all. A little after the swap the SRS light has come on on the check engine panel. There is a crack on the windshield that is not within viewing area. This car has always passed inspection with no problems. The sunroof works without leaks. No a/c.

The odometer stopped weeks after I bought it and stopped at 126K. I replaced it with new gears but failed again. For the most part, I have been DDing it. It may be somewhere about 190K on the chassis but lots of new parts. The M50 engine that I put in a couple of years ago has been flawless. It is neither loud nor raspy, just a good troaty sound. The cruise control works.

Now here is a list of some of the highlights the car has.
    M50NV with ~113K
    MarkD chip
    98 M3 rack
    3:73S rearend
Z4 2.5 SSK with ZHP knob
    Hella H4s
    Crack free dash
    Leatherette sportseats that work.
    Rear headrest
    Stock HU with premium speakers
    Eurogrills
    Red tails
    US plate filler
    Bilsteins sports on all corners
    H&R sports, coupe specific
    15mm drophats
16x7.5 throwing star reps with 225/45 KDWs
    Recent battery

I became a member of the BMWCCA when I bought this car. It was my first of three but Im trimming the fleet. This is not some clapped out e30. I like my cars clean and this one was no exception. A few months back, I took it to The Vintage of the Vineyards for its 1st and only autocross. It performed beautifully. With 8 years of ownership, I can give you almost a play by play since I picked it up. It is 23 year old car so I sure im leaving out a few things but this is some information. What is not included is the armrest and the Volvo lip. I replaced the front valence with one in better condition and I put a "i" lip on it. My build thread is linked below.

    Cheers.

If it didn't have the salvage title this would be mine. I heard about your car this spring from my buddy Kyle a fellow CCA member in Indy (evidently you two know each other from the Vintage in NC?). GLWS

Hey Spartan my wife and I know Kyle too - connected with him at VintageFest again in Chicago. We'll be joining him for NC Vintage next may.

glws Dan. can't believe you're selling it. those throwing star reps, all the paint restoration work, the 24V swap... everybody knows how meticulous you are with your rides.

I can only assume you're ready for some upgrades on the vert, or another project - can't wait to find out!!

Yeah, once the main frame is bent, you can straighten it but metal likes to stretch so it is never as before. But still it is worth the asking price.
