FS: reliable '91 325ix in CT

Selling my '91 325ix. Its a red 5spd coupe, which is somewhat rare I guess.

I've owned the car for a little over a year now. Purchased November 2012 from MA and driven as a daily driver during the winter months since then. I've put about 4,000 miles on it and its never left me stranded no matter how crappy and cold these recent northeast winters have been. I purchased the car from a member on this forum which unfortunately doesnt have what sparse details were available there anymore: http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=269007

It is by no means the best example of an e30 325ix out there but for those who are mechanically inclined and dont mind doing work on it for an otherwise very reliable car then this is one you should check out. I unfortunately didnt have the time or skills necessary to keep up with this car.

The clock reads 249,xxx which will go up 100miles per week since drive it. I have all the recipients from the work I have done as well as an entire folder from the PO. It has vinyl interior so there is no heated seats. It also has a manual crank sunroof.

    The bad:
I will be as upfront as I can about everything I am aware of...
    - check engine does come on once a month or so but after a couple of restarts and miles clears itself. I've never checked out what the code was.
    - rust! it feels to be a new england/northeast car most its life. Although there is rust around some of the trim, its mostly surface rust. The worst is the left front fender and battery tray in the trunk which I tried to highlight in the pictures. I do have an unpainted replacement fender included with sale. There is no rust underneath the car far as I can tell.
    - something is bent in the steering rack. You kinda have to hold the wheel 1/4 turn to drive straight. Its annoying but not enough that I got it fixed.
    - hit a sign and cracked the front left bumper (pictured)
    - led screen on obc is broken
    - missing the panel covering the wiring underneath the steering wheel

    The good:
    - clutch is new within 5,000 miles. PO replaced it prior to selling it.
    - tires are solid all seasons, I've never plowed my driveway after snowfall to get out.
    - crack free dash!
    - my commute is mostly highways and I still avg 25mpg
    - I believe shocks are koni yellows
    - all electronics work (radio, power windows, power mirrors, heat!, lights, etc)
    - I havent done compression test on the motor but it feels very strong
    - awd system all works

    Recent maintenance/fixes
    - replaced guibo (11/30/2012)
    - oil change 500 miles ago (10/25/2013)
    - left front ball joint replaced (10/25/2013)
    - power steering belt replaced (10/25/2013)
    - rear brake pads and rotors replaced (10/25/2013)

I purchased the car for $2,100 November 2012.
I spent $1,300 for initial repairs at that time ($600 in parts)
I spent $700 for repairs this past October to get ready for the winter again ($200 in parts)

I would be very happy to get back the original amount I spent on the car, lets call it $2,000 since its a nice round number. I have the title ready for its new owner. Pictures: http://www.flickr.com/photos/46739175@N04/. Anything I missed or left out please ask.

The car is located in Stamford CT, 06905 in the evenings and Norwalk CT, 06851 during the day. Please feel free to PM, email mbilaldinc@gmail.com or call 203.273.2259 with questions or if you'd like to come check it out.

Are you sure something is bent? If it isn't shaking or doing anything weird maybe the wheel was taken off and put back on wrong before you bought it?
    Anyway, Interior looks great! GLWS

thanks. i wish it were that simple but I'm pretty sure something is bent. Its been that way for a couple weeks now and it doesnt really cause any issues, aside from the annoying angle of the steering wheel.
