    FS: 1979 528iA, 107,000 miles, $3,200

I'm selling my 528iA, with ~107,000 miles. I've had it for a few years now, but I just don't drive it enough to warrant keeping it. So, I'm hoping another enthusiast will snatch it up. It was always a California car until six months ago, when I moved to SC. Thus, rust is not an issue.

    The quick and dirty:

Purchased the car with a cracked head, sourced a rebuilt one from Mike W. and had it installed by BMW in Oxnard, CA. The following was all done by the same facility (BMW's Vehicle Distribution Center) within the last 2,000 miles:

    - Repainted
    - Water pump, thermostat, fan clutch and all associated hoses.
    - Brakes replaced, rear calipers rebuilt.
    - Most outer door trim pieces were replaced
    - Windshield lockstrip
    - Plugs, air/fuel filter

When the new(er) head was installed, all associated wear items were replaced (head gasket, valve cover gaskets, etc)

I've had the radiator re-cored two months ago. Tires were replaced three months ago.

The following was done by the previous owner, within 12,000 miles:

    - Muffler replaced
    - Fuel pump
    - Brake master cylinder
    - Rear shocks

    The bad:

    - A/C does not work.

    - The flywheel has a few teeth broken off. When they land on the starter, the car will not start. Pushing it back/forward a few inches solves it.

In all, the car is in fantastic shape. I apologize for my lack of camera skills, but I hope that it portrays the condition of the car well enough. I'm located in Augusta, GA.

    I'm asking $3,200.

I've got three cars, am moving cross-country, and will be deployed six months out of the year. This one's just going to rot if I don't sell it, because my wife doesn't trust a child seat in it (can't say I really do, either), so it'll never get driven while I'm gone.

Damn good price. Take it from someone who owns one people, these cars are awesome. Classy, chicks think they are cute, and they are roomy as hell. I love mine.

              Thanks, everyone.

The only chicks I've had comment on the car are the 80 year olds that I see at the local Waffle House. They tell me it's a "beautiful automobile."
