    MI: Minty OEM+ Alpine White E46 Coupe - 2002 330ci 5MT

    - - -

    SOLD

I hate to be writing this but unfortunately the time has come to sell my e46. I've owned the car for 3-1/2 years after purchasing it in March of 2011. I had been searching diligently for a clean Alpine White coupe for a few months, and ended up flying from Detroit to Newark to purchase this car from the second owner. It's been an incredible car for me; never once has it come close to leaving me stranded and driving it always puts a smile on my face. Under my ownership the car has transitioned from 100% stock to tastefully OEM+.

It's with a heavy heart that I'm selling the car, but I need something to get me through these Michigan winters, and I couldn't bring myself to drive this car in the Midwest snow and salt. With that in mind I recently purchased a 2005 Legacy GT Wagon, and I can't keep two fun cars - so my E30 stays and my E46 goes.

The car is in fantastic shape inside and out, thanks to the meticulous nature of the previous owners and myself. It has never once seen snow, never been smoked in, tracked, raced, or abused in any way. I've detailed the car regularly, changed the oil every 3k miles, and maintained it in a generally meticulous fashion. All maintenance and modifications have been done with Genuine BMW or OEM supplied parts, and all of the work on the car has been done either by myself or at a few reputable indy shops in the Detroit area (Steve's European Automotive, Munks Motors, Karl Heinz Auto). I have spreadsheets and receipts for 95% of the parts and maintenance that have been purchased/completed under my ownership. It is 100% rust free, all paint, panels, and glass are original, and it has never been in an accident.

Most of the mileage accrued since I've owned the car has been highway driving: my girlfriend went to grad school in Ohio, so I commuted from Detroit to Toledo every other weekend for 3 years. I wouldn't hesitate to drive this car cross-country tomorrow: in fact, I drove it to NYC and back in July for one last hurrah and the car performed wonderfully. Since then I have addressed a few small issues to bring the car up to a condition in which I am comfortable selling it.

At 80,000 miles the PO replaced the clutch, water pump, thermostat, coolant hoses and belts, spark plugs, and window regulators. Since I purchased the car I have done the following (I'm sure I have left a few things out, but this should cover most of it):

    - Meyle HD Front Control Arm Bushings (108k)

And after the recent trip to NYC, I had the following done:

    - Visual inspection of all suspension components (no issues)
    - Coolant Flush, Brake Flush, Differential Service
    - New Rear Tires (Sumitomo HTR ZIII XL 265/35/18)
    - Four Wheel Alignment
    - Oil Change with OEM 5W30 and Filter
    - Professional Exterior Detail (clay, wash, wax)
    - Vacuumed Carpets, Conditioned Seats with Leatherique

    The Bad:

Of course, no used car is perfect: There are some stone chips from highway driving on the hood and front bumper, and there are screw holes from the original front plate; there is a small parking scuff on the underside of the Alpina lip; there are some glue stains around the door seals from my attempts to keep them from sagging; the a pillar fabric is starting to bunch slightly; the driver's seat has a little bit of wear; e-Brake could be tightened (it engages pretty late).

Overall, the car is in fantastic condition. I would say that the interior and exterior are both 9.5/10, save for the small amounts of wear and tear listed above. Likewise, all mechanicals and electronics work as they should. It will also come with whatever e46 related extras I have lying around, including:

    - OEM Car Cover
    - OEM Sunshade
    - NIB Eurotray
    - Colgan Hood Bra
    - NIB Front Akebono Euro Pads
    - Original Grey Floor Mats
    - Original Steering Wheel
    - Bentley Manual

My asking price is SOLD. I'm hoping to pass this on to the right owner and to find a good home for a car that I will dearly miss. I work M-F but can be available to show the car evenings and on weekends, either in Detroit's Eastern Market (where I live) or in Ferndale, MI (where the car is currently stored).

Please, no tire kickers or time wasters. I ask that you be genuinely interested and have proof that you can provide the adequate funds before test-driving.

Email me at dishwab@gmail.com for quickest response.

    Thanks, Joe.
