Looks like the cabal of folks from PA got their near identical touring (theirs has AC Schnitzer wheels and a tow hitch, but no fog lights and a missing cargo cover) on Bring-A-Trailer, will be neat to see how much it goes for. FYI, at the time of posting it was at $5,100.

Yep, quite practical, and only took two people to load.

Work harder, get lucky, or do things you will regret. Any of these are surefire ways to afford a touring.

Having seen it in person, this is a very nice e30.

Thanks! Looking more and more like I'm going to have to keep this one around and sell the blue 320i.

Last day of the BAT auction for that similar 318i Touring with Schnitzers, it's at $5400 right now. Bidding is picking up with three and a half hours left.

            Link for those interested: http://bringatrailer.com/listing/1989-bmw-318i/

            Edit:

That car went unsold at $5,600, reserve not met. I still think right around 7-8k is a fair enough price for a nice touring, but maybe the market has spoken on M40 equipped versions.

I also dropped the price on my car to $7,500 obo.

I was one of the bidders on the BaT touring. Yours is also a very nice available e30 that seems to have couple of options not on the other car.

Do you know if the high bidder worked out a deal for the car? I see you were second in line, did they offer the car to you? Interested in how the workings of a non reserve met auction on BAR work.

Anyway, feel free to make an offer on my touring if you so wish.

I don't have any information about a second chance offer. They haven't offered it to me. There's information in the previous posts on BaT that show the seller has had it for sale on other forums and ebay without selling for some time and has had 2 other e30 tourings for sale that did sell but they were the 325xi.

Who knows, but it's about to take a little road trip to northern FL.

There was a post from their official BaT account saying I'd be put in touch with the seller, however nothing yet.

You have a great car for sale here, just a little more than I'd be looking to spend right now. That doesn't mean that I won't be keeping an eye on this thread though anyway!

I'd be interested in a m52 e30 vert.... Perhaps a three team deal?

It was a fine road trip, car performed flawlessly. I then left it there in care of my Mom who happened to have sold her E30 last year and she plans to drive the touring back to MD next week.

The rust on the fender has been fixed, as has the headliner sag issue. New brakes were installed all round in the last month, and new tires went on the now equipped Euroweaves that can be included.

I also want to point out that I am selling most of the rest of my BMW fleet, and my lone Ford. That includes an '88 324td slicktop touring, an '89 320i slicktop touring, a '91 318is, a '76 2002 rat rod and a 2000 SVT Contour. At least I'm keeping my awesome '91 318i.

When possible I will make a thread for all of them together, feel free to PM offers. All current pics may be found here: PICS

Won't be going to BFest, never have, doubtful if I will in the near future. Old threads never die, they just get bumped, glad it did or I wouldn't have updated it.

I will also be selling my trove of E30 parts.
