Wow Milliedog had no idea what he was in for when he first posted that he wanted to buy a car. Everyone who has ever owned or seen a m-tech or m-tech appearance e-30 has come out of the woodwork with their knowledge of the cars. I,m sure that he is completely confused as to what is what. Hang in there Milliedog!!!!!

Robrez also got a Silver (full m tech) car with full black leather cards. Probably an extra option and very uncommon in the US.

My appearance package doesn't have the special stitching black leather door cards, that's an M3 Cabrio interior. Those look like white versions of the black leather e30 M3 Cabrio interior, never seen that before.

Dave Lee also got a (appearance) white car that had the full leather door cards. It's not an "M3" cabrio thing as it is a euro thing. Many of the euro motorsport cabs came with these full leather cards.

^^Interesting thanks for sharing. I've seen them in pics of euro m3's but never on the appearance package cars besides mine. I still find it weird it's not listed as an option when you decide the vin though.

Why not post the window sticker with the VIN blocked out ... I know I for one would love to see it! My silver Mtech was built 5-7-91

I love a good mtech thread.. So the official number of Mtech II's sold, (not the appearance package) was around 250? I have been on e30ic a whole bunch, but i like to hear it from the community..

According to the sheet, it's just 150. According to e30ic, 96 or so were produced just in 4/91 alone. I haven't seen any data for the other months.

I recently read that someone ran every possible VIN through the decoder and came up with 103 verts with the 771A option checked ... probably bs but interesting if it's true.

I'd still love to see that window sticker too!

It might be 150 or less. The Motorsports versions in Europe were 3 issues of 250 cars each. Some were just interior, later versions got mtech 1 or 2 kits with interior as well. I'll try and dig up the website

Did you notice that the fact sheet that KIRIEIW posted says nappa leather door pockets in all the white appearance package cars?

That's correct. White had leather door pockets. Black had leatherette door pockets.
