SOLD SOLD SOLD
[B]2003 BMW 525i Sedan
88,2XX Miles
Cold Weather + Premium Package
Alpine White on Tan Leather Interior
Price: $2,750
Ferndale, MI

I recently purchased this car from an elderly family friend who didn’t drive it very often and had no interest in spending more money to keep it on the road. When I took ownership of the car it was running poorly due to a bad MAF and torn intake boots, but is now in great running condition. In the past month I have done the following:
Replaced both upper and lower intake boots
Replaced MAF Sensor with working OEM unit
New Engine Air Filter
New Cabin Air Filters
Oil + Filter Change (Mahle filter + Mobil 1 Synthetic 5W30)
Coolant Flush
New Rear Tires (Hankook Ventus V4 225/55/16)
Replaced Driver’s Side LED Taillight with OEM Unit
New Brake Pads
Wash/Wax Exterior
Interior Detail
The car is now in excellent running and driving condition. The reason I’m selling is that I already have two cars and would rather have the money for my E30 restoration project.
Mechanical: 8.5/10
The car starts every time and pulls hard with no check engine lights. Transmission shifts smoothly with no slipping. Almost all mechanical features/electronics work as they should: one touch windows, heated + powered seats, CD/radio, sunroof, headlight washers, cold AC, low + high beams, etc.
There are only two issues: 1. Traction control is currently disabled due to a broken wheel speed sensor. The ABS module however is functioning properly. 2. The infamous E39 dead cluster pixels.
Interior: 8.5/10
The interior is in truly excellent condition, no tears in the leather seats and hardly any wear at all. Headliner is clean, the ski pass through is in great shape, and there are no strange stains or smells. Wood trim has a few hairline cracks here and there, but otherwise the interior is super clean.
Exterior: 6.5/10
The only real negative of the car: she’s a little rough around the edges cosmetically. There are some small dings, paint chips, scratches, etc. as well as a few small spots of surface rust.
The worst issue cosmetically: it appears the previous owner was in a light front-end collision (not enough to set off the airbag). This dented the front section of the hood and put a crease in it so that the hood no longer sits flush with the driver's side fender (see photos).
Overall: 7.5-8/10
Other than the cosmetic issues, this is a really solid daily driver. At 88k miles the engine is hardly broken in and with a little love shines up quite nicely.
