    1989 325is with 117,xxx miles, automatic

The car is in great shape...it is hands down the fastest e30 i have ever been in. It would easily walk my old e36.

    The good:

Interior is practically mint...it has vinyl seats and an uncracked dash
    Koni shocks
    Racing Dynamic springs
    JT design RSMs
aftermarket exhaust- sounds good, deep sound
chip- not sure what brand, it was put in by the previous owner
    4.10 lsd
It was repainted roughly 3 years ago...the paint is good but not perfect
rial wheels- i have refinished the lip of the rear wheels...

    The bad:

It has a unique idle....when you first start the car, it wants to die. Once the car warms up it runs fine. Also if you put the car in Drive when its not warmed up it kinda wants to surge.

The front bumper has a crack in it. The valence could also use a repaint.
The only rust is on the bottom of the front-side right rocker panel.

    Things i've done:

replaced the window wiper motor, replaced the rear shock mounts.

$4,000 I'm on vacation so the only pic i have is on my sig. Feel free to ask any questions you may have. Thanks

When you return from Vacation, please post pics of the interior, exterior rust + valence crack, and engine bay.

Do you have maintenance records for the car? Timing belt? Any accidents? Clean title?

title is clean, the timing belt was done at 87,000 miles. No acccidents minus the crack in the bumper that was there when i bought the car. I will post many more pictures when i return from vacation.

117k? with an e30 with that low of mileage why not just do a tranny swap and save yourself tons of time and money trying to find another low mileage example?

i agree with the comment above 117k you better source the parts for a five speed conversion and do that as opposed to selling that car... you already have suspension and some performance bits.....its illogical to sell this car to try to buy a new one is similar condition... especially for 4k you would probably end up selling a decent codition low mileage modified e30 for a decent condition STOCK e30 and remember 5spds are usually beat on and the engines tend to have more wear then autos

i know i would be better off to do the swap but i dont think im knowledable enough to perform it. From what ive read its not 'that' difficult but i still think i would need alot of help. Anyone wanna come help me?

I want to have the car dynoed because i drove a stock '90 325i 5-speed last week and the power difference was unreal. Maybe im being unrealistic...

Man an IS with miles that low is rare, don't sell it just do the swap.

What's the deal with the seats? Why would someone swap out the stock sports for non-sports? Maybe it was originally not an IS and they switched out the differential and called it a conversion. Is the sunroof power or crank?

                          Are you sure that's a 325is?

It doesn't have the sport seats and it doesn't have the 9 (13) button OBC.

its a crank sunroof....it never even hit me until someone mentioned it. It must be a 325i now that i think about it.

Good catch on the OBC Dave!
Yeah it must be an i. Are you positive the diff is an LSD or did you just figure it was since it was stock on the IS?
