He had originally purchased this car with the tentative goal of turning it into an EVO III "Cecotto" clone but ultimately decided to stop a bit short of that. Mechanicals have been gone through which include but are not limited to a new rebuilt 2.5 Turner Motorsport stroker engine. Mild suspension modifications were made to give the car more stability and better handling while not lowering it too much. Nearly every mechanical component has been cleaned, plated, or tended to in whatever way was needed. He took the opportunity to address nearly everything down to rebuilding the original BMW “infared” radio and interior electronics for originality sake. Overall, the car is a great looker and offers much better reliability along with Evo III performance figures. Also, the car passes CA smog with flying colors for the local buyers. With that said, given the age of the vehicle itself, things like minor cracks in the dashboard, minor cracking of the clear on top of the rear spoiler which is too common, a missing tool from the toolkit and missing original owner’s manual are all things worth noting.
