WTB: BMW E23 - Cant find one ANYWHERE!! (worth buying)

    Hey R3V,

like the title says, I'm looking for an e23. If you have the right car, distance is no issue for both parts cars and complete/operational.

As economists say, there is no such thing as a free lunch and all the cars I want are bought before they're sold. I most likely will have to put 2 or 3 cars together to build one so don't be afraid to throw me what you have.

    Dream Car:
    Will be black
Euro bumpers & Headlights & Wipers
Will have power reclining rear seats
    Will be manual

BUT: any car you have DOES NOT need to have all of these attributes, just some. I have no problem swaping in a 5spd.

Also will have an s65 w/ tranny in the future but we're not going to go there yet.

A MUST is a facelift version of the vehicle (1983-1987),
*pre-facelift vehicles will not have exchangeable exterior parts*

IF you have a factory 745i w/ 5spd in original condition, I would like to add the car to my collection, and I will proceed to molest another e23. I have found one already with 100k miles but its all banged up and gutted. The vin# is whats worth the most at that point as all originality is what holds its value when it comes to collectors and value. (as I'm sure you all know)

Who can help make my dreams come true?? (and put cash in your pocket)
I've pretty much groped craigslist across the nation as of Dec 4th, 2015

Search over 6,481 used BMW 7 series for sale from $289. Find used BMW 7 series now on Autozin.

Up for sale is my beloved BMW 735i, otherwise known as an e23 series. This is a 1986 model, second to last year these old shark nose sedans were built and this was a late production model before it was changed to L7 in 1987, the final year of these body styles. I have spent significant time and money taking an overall nice car and making it special. If you want to blend in with the cro

No affiliation but I didn't know if you had seen these

My brother picked up an '86 e23 from the original owner a year or so back. I didn't know how excellent they could be until then.

Good luck finding your dream car, we need more of these beautiful and unique cars getting attention!

They are nice cars. I had a '85 745i but sold it about a year back. Alpine White over natural leather, power everything, sunroof & rear shade. Full Euro trim, Hartge strut bar. Mine also had a Getrag 265 swap, eCarToys chipped DME, 12psi TIAL wastegate, custom exhaust and a few other tweaks. They're surprisingly light cars, all things considered. An E23 weights about the same as a new 3-series. With the reworked turbo, it had torque (and handling) like a freight train. It was a handful to drive.

Definitely post your quest for cars in the E23 section of Bimmerforums, as posted above. It's a pretty active forum. It was the most helpful place for me, especially given the quirks of these relatively rare cars. Talk to the guys over there, let them know you're looking to buy. Especially HitManX; he usually knows where to find these cars. He also knows them inside out if/when you run into trouble.

I hope you find one with the Exec package (power front & rear seats, burl wood trim, buffalo leather). The burl & buffalo leather is an unbelievable combo IMHO. BMW hasn't made anything like it since.

If you are currently in Boston my buddy lives in Manchester NH, I could ask him if he's considering selling.
