    1989 325i Sedan
    All new seals, hoses, tensioners
    5spd Getrag 260 Manual Transmission Rebuilt from Zimmerman Automotive
    5,000 miles on drivetrain
    20,000 on suspension
    270xxx miles on Chassis
    Delphin Grey on Natur Vinyl (respray 2012)

    Motor: 5000 miles so far on it
    S52 bottom end rebuilt, pistons and crankshaft verified by machine shop
    M50 Non Vanos Head rebuilt 5,000 on rebuild
    Machining done by Power Performance in San Luis Obispo CA
    All tolerances verified, cylinders checked, ring gaps verified
    Head refreshened but original valves and springs
    Valve seats done (obviously)
    ARP head studs
    Chain elongation condition was fine to use
    Pulls strong, idles well, super fun

    Transmission
    - Getrag 260 with e30 M3 clutch
    - Newly reconditioned from Zimmerman Automotive. 1200 new
    - less than 200 miles on it
    - Its perfect

    Suspension
    E30 M3 springs with bilstein sports

    Wheels
    Ronal LS 15” 225s

    Condition
    - All new hoses, radiator, tanks and
    - Sunroof working
    - Uncracked dash and excellent interior
    - Some paint chips and a small dent on the hood
    - 100% California Car ZERO rust
    - Smogs no problem
    - Interior is remarkably immaculate
    - Crack free original dash
    - Bushings all replaced

    Motor Build – The motor is a m50 non vanos head re-freshened and 3.2L bottom end from an S52. Every seal, wear item etc replaced brand new. Again the drivetrain has less than 5,000 miles. The power band is however much more linear/peaky. Tuned with Miller War chip. Laptop for tuning with come with sale.

      How close is this to being BAR Legal (other than the obvious bottom end change)?

      Functional CEL, Charcoal Canister present, OEM downpipe, etc?

      Good looking car and a good price, though the NV might turn people away

        Yeah, a lot of question marks about the m50 non vanos head. I’m hoping to post a dyno to show why I chose it.

        To answer your questions though, everything is stock and passes smog no problem. I have a stock air box that fits fine for smog. The harness was re pinned so everything works except oil level which I haven’t had the chance to hook up. The car scans just like a e36 and all electronics are working.
