For Sale: 1989 Black 325is Houston, TX

    FOR SALE: Black 1989 325is
140,045. Odometer stopped in January 2018. I’ve put around 500 miles on it since then. The car has been a queen enjoying the comforts of my garage. It’s time for it to find a better home and more drive time.

I’m throwing in a couple of extra parts. Things I collected over the years working on a previous e30. See notes below.

    DESCRIPTION:
    Black 325is
Low mileage. This was a WI car that eventually came down to TX.
Ground Control coilovers Koni shocks (currently sits at max height, can go lower but that’s impractical for my area.)
42 Draft Design 4 to 5 lug adapters
    16” Style 5’s
    Tuner Motorsport Ultimate Short Shift
Momo Prototipo Steering Wheel (original steering wheel will be included)
    Stock Exhaust and Muffler
    Limited Slip Differential
Clifford Alarm - It will disable car if triggered. I never use it.
    Dash in good condition
Original paint with dings and chips in front
Rear view mirror with working reading lights
    Tinted Windows

Much of the car was refreshed within the last 20,000 miles. I have extensive records that date back to original owner.

    Rear subframe redone in 2013
    Gas Tank
    Brake Hoses and Lines
    Rear Wheel Bearings
    Engine Mounts
    Tranny Mount
    Timing Belt
    Water Pump
    Mishimoto Radiator
    Oil Pan and Gasket
    NGK Sparkplugs
    Transmission Fluid
    Differential Fluid

    NOTES:
Rust on rear valence and front left above tire. See pics
Cracks in front windshield. Driven like this my entire ownership
Parasitic battery loss comes and goes. I keep it on a battery tender.
Glovebox latch broken and won’t open
AC not working. Parts are there but never converted it.
Some squeaking noises from rear that I cannot figure out! Again, something I’ve lived with it for 4 years.
Comes with two new-in-box GKN rear axles (had this from my last e30 project)
Extrude honed manifold. I do not have documentation. So it’s just an extra that I’m adding to the deal.
I have the front IS lip but a few of the attachment pieces are broken. I have driven with it at low speeds but I wouldn’t use it on the highway.

    $6500 obo

    PM for more information.

Not a bad looking car, can you take more underside pics of that rear valence? How long was it in WI and how long in Texas?

Original paint? When exactly was the timing belt done? Anything else around that time (water pump, tensioner, cam seal, etc). Do you have the stock basketweaves?

Friend has been looking for one, and I might be able to get him on-board with this one even though its not a local CA car

the parasitic battery loss is likely the alarm. I used to install those back in the day and they always kill batteries.

If it wasnt for the rust I would be all over this.

                thanks for the interest 2mAn!

                - Car was in Wisconsin until 2013.
                - Last documented refresh to timing belt, cam seal, water pump, crankshaft seal was 2009 at 129,213miles, a little over 10,000 miles but it's been some years.
                - I only have one of the original basketweave. Sits in the tire well.

Here's a closeup of the rusty bits - rear valence and the pinch welds.
