Total bullshit. These cars are NOT that expensive to insure, not to mention my license plate only costs me $30/year. It's a concocted story. Nobody spends that much money on a car, flies that distance to buy it and drives it home WITHOUT KNOWING HOW MUCH INSURANCE IS GOING TO COST! As if.

All we can hope for is that someone that deserves the car buys it, and only pays what that little dickhead paid for it. OR that he's stuck with it until such time that he loses money on it.

Well he's asking $1500 over what he paid and considering the plane ticket and gas money to drive home he can't be making much more than $1k... seems like an awful lot of work for that kind of profit.. Maybe he is just that dumb to not know about insurance and whatever else he is claiming. I pm'd him and told him I would pay $9k for it (which I will if he accepts).. we'll see what he says. Hopefully he hasn't ruined it yet.

Well good damn luck, and I mean it. I would love to see it go to a good owner.

Well I got a pm from him and he said his mother was very upset he went and bought a car with no airbags, I highly doubt he bought to car to flip it with such little profit margin, he had to fly up to NJ which isn't cheap and then drive a thristy e30 with 4.10's all the way to GA and pay tolls.
I have a pretty strong feeling that his mom is behind the resale.

OK. So he's not a douche for being a caplitalist pig. He's a douche for going through all the trouble he did without doing his homework beforehand.

Well hey those air bags in his 95m3 probably saved him the first time right? I'd be pissed if there was no good reason behind the resale except for profit.

egk2 where did you get the boots from for the shifter and brake handle?

I know my Mom wouldnt have a problem with me buying a car without airbags, unless she payed for it! This kid must be half retarded..end of story.

Sorry to hear it Ed, I know exactly how you feel. When I sold my car to that Special Olympian last spring, the kid seemed genuinely excited to get the car. I kind of got drawn into that excitement and gave the kid a better deal as he could not afford what I was asking. In fact, he asked me to hold certain items in order to lower the price further, and then he intended to buy them when he had the money. Well, it never happened.

The kid all but trashed the car(from my perspective) and proceeded to sell it to another local guy 4 months later. Thankfully, the new owner is using the car for what it was intended...

Yeah, same here, he was extremely excited to own this car and he also asked to keep some things off to lower the price, I was also drawn into his excitement and felt I gave him a very good deal. I'm happy with the sale price and set the asking price to give me some room to work with the buyer, working for bmw saved me a lot of money when building this car, parts and labor were dirt cheap, I still made out pretty good and got to drive it for 3 years. As far as the kid goes, he mentioned that he will keep it for as long as possible but like I said before, his mother has a lot to do with him reselling the car as he is only 19 or 20yrs old.

He still could have spent more time than just copying/pasting your original for sale ad to bimmerforums.
