The guy was creaming on himself to buy the car to begin with, made an ass of himself all over the original for sale ad. This had to be planned out from the beginning, I suppose he thought he could make a profit IF he bought it cheaply enough.

It's because we know the now previous owner and have watched that car evolve into an e30 to envy and we all hoped that it would go to a deserving owner, not some two-bit used car salesman that is out to profit from all of Ed's hard work, blood, sweat and tears!

Thanks guys, I tried to be a fair and decent seller by letting it go to the first guy to PM me and commit to my bottom line.

Honestly, this new owner doesn't quite sound like the type that belongs in your car. So, at this point I'd almost rather see the car to more 'fitting' enthusiast.

I think most of us here would've done the same thing. But unfortunatley it's times like these that make me wonder if you should start being an asshole.

That guy wanted to buy my car. He was freaking annoying. He sent me at least 15 PM's in the same night saying he wanted to drive down tomorrow to get it, just say the word, etc. I didn't sell it to him because I didn't trust it'd be going to a good home (he was going to pay my asking price).

Wow...Sorry to hear about this Ed. Obviously whoever is not annoyed/angry about this has never had this happen to them. It really does tick me off when stuff like this happens. I sold my MINT 325i Vert for $6750 about 2 years ago. Exactly 2 weeks to the day, the new owner sold the car for $9000. To say the least, I was NOT happy! I guess there is a fine line that needs to be drawn between being an enthusiast and a being a "smart investor". I hope the car sells for exactly what he paid and that it goes to someone who really understands what he has.

I did that too TJ! Sorry for the many PM's...:) :)

Josh, you were asking intelligent questions, not acting like a 6 year old that wanted a new bicycle RIGHT NOW~! :)

Apparently insurance is too expensive on a 17 year old car.

What kind of an idiot buys a car without first checking what insurance will be like on it?
