I would like to build or buy a e30 race car. I ran rx7 last yr but i want to sell and get an e30 and go racing any suggestions or cars for sale that would fit the bill. what should i be looking for. best yr ,must haves any help would be great

Usually, racers prefer the aluminum bubpered cars, early 88 cars or older, because the oler bumpers are cheaper to repair than the plastics. Get a rust-free chassis, and the 325i's are the preferred car for the M20 engine. the 325 and 325e cars have the slower eta engine.


Edit: Also, spend some extra cash and buy someone else's prepped car. You'll save a bundle, and you'll need to do little to get things in tip-top shape.

1987 325is for the double fuel pump system and the cool front spoiler, I however run a 1990 325is because I am not a lover of the chrome bumpers. All you need is a clean rust free car.

Car did have a few rust areas but were repaired.

dash lights and obc back light out
ABS fuse out

The car has not been out since it's last "Passed" Tech inspection"
Easy convert to pro 3 or other.

Like I said, not really looking to sell, so I'd put it at $10K
