Nice looking car! And where did you take those pictures by the road? They look familiar, I grew up in Silverdale. Near Dyes inlet?

Right out near Brownsville Marina. My dad lived out there for years, so I went out one day, washed the car, and took some pictures.

I have no idea what the wheels are. I've never bothered to look for stampings on the inside of the wheel, and the outside doesn't say anything.

Yeah... It was a stock muffler, and he was planning on replacing it at the time, so he let his friend drill holes in it. Then we ended up trading cars. The car rarely gets driven, since my wife and I work at the same place... So I never bothered to have it replaced. I was about to take the car to get it replaced a couple weeks ago, but after talking with my wife we decided I should just go ahead and pursue a new car.

I was there when they drilled holes in it. It actually sounds pretty good. :)

I've seen this car in person several times (while Elliot owned it), and it's in great shape. Really well sorted E30, great buy.

I used to own a car practically identical to this one, but with Borbet Type C's. Sold it running fine/almost no oil consumption with 250K on the odo, and it never had an engine rebuild. Someone buy this car!

                              That Was My Son's Car

                              Greetings!

That was my son's car. I did some work for our BMW mechanic and took it in trade from him. He got it from a long-time customer. I do not know if she was the first owner, but she had it maintained regularly and well at Salzmann Motors in Wilsonville until she decided to buy a new car.

The mileage seems a bit odd, though. I thought it was in the high 100s or low 200s when Elliot traded it for Erik's '89 GTI VR6. Erik must have had the engine rebuilt, because we did not. In any event, it was in good shape when Elliot had it, and it looks like it is still in good shape. All in all, a good car. (I wish Elliot had kept it!)

I just left Elliot a VM. Maybe he will chime in.

He recently traded the GTI for a lowered '96 Passat wagon with a VR6 and Audi TT wheels...
