What I think people are trying to say is:

        1) Yes. You are crazy for wanting $2500.

        2) It would be more logical if you parted it. Higher probability of getting more out of the car as opposed to trying to sell it as a whole unit. (Don't be lazy, if you want money gotta use a little elbow grease.)

Anyways, I think your car was lovely. Perfect daily driver. Sad that temptations get the best of us. Hopefully another e30 awaits you. =)

        Good luck with the sale.

Thanks for the input. Let me address these point individually.

          1) What do you guys think my car is worth? I'll answer any questions related to it's condition.

          2) Your points are valid. But here are two considerations. My job has me traveling approx. 50% of the time. If I could predict when and how often I travel it would be easier. For instance, I was supposed to be in Italy this week, but the customer canceled our meetings on Friday. Next week, I might be headed to about 4 cities over a two week period, I just don't know yet. My point it, my job doesn't allow me to pull pieces off the car in a reliable timeframe. I don't feel like get bashed by people because I can't get them their parts as soon as they pay me. So, I'd rather not deal with that whole mess.

Second, I live in a townhouse with an HOA (don't get me started on the futility of HOAs). I'm sure they'd frown upon my randomly disassembling my car on the street.

Those two factor conspire to prevent me from parting out the car.

However, if you, or anyone else has the time and space to part out a car. Make me an offer. I'm not getting any use out of the car just sitting here.
