Wow, you guys really are harsh on that poor kid!
but yeah, after owning 2 e30's, I must admit that there's nothing worse than finding a totally misrepresented e30 when looking for a nice one to purchase.
I know that there's sooo much crap out there in the market that odds are, most will be junk, esp. if the owners under the age of 25ish
Side note: you guys seem like a fun bunch, I hung out on the roadfly boards for years and only recently made the switch...pretty glad I did.

Yes it's true, we can be harsh. But most of the guys here have a particular style (read: classic, modified, yet tastefull) and we are fairly judgemental of those that do not fall in to those categories. This car happens to be one of them. We don't do it to be mean, we do it in hopes of enlightening him to the trashbucket that is his car.Wow, you guys really are harsh on that poor kid!

God I've missed this! LOL.... you guys are my heroes.
Kid, just listen to them... they really do know more... considering most of the guys do alot of their own work (Including PAINT JOBS) they know better than you do. no one was trying to be mean... you just made it easy by flipping out. take what you can get for it and buy one in better shape if you want more when you sell it... oh, and next time please don't hurt a car like that with wheels like that.... please?
Speaking of selling a bimmer... mine is for sale :( anyone interested in an E34, check it out....

Generally when you "test the water", that involves sticking your toe in. It does not involve taking a dump in the pool.

hoo boy you guys can sure rip apart a riced out BMW!! but let me be the one to say this without hostility to the guy selling the E30:
You are right to try and sell the car, as you are a "rice" person (hey, alot of people swing that way) and a BMW is definitely not for you, but i guess you didn't know, but you were sure asking for it by posting on a E30 enthusiast website (i.e. non-"rice" people).
But someone will buy it. $500 or so seems reasonable if the engine is in good condition.
And what did you really mean by saying the engine runs well when it is not missing?Comment
