    S52 swapped 1990 5lug, etc and 1990 auto 94k OG miles

it pains me to even think about it.. but, im moving to oregon in a couple of weeks, and im trying to unload anything i dont NEED. that said, the two E30s may have to go.

im not really gonna do more than mention the non-swapped car, because it an auto-trans, and they dont get any love in these parts... 1990 325i alpine on blue, auto trans, 94k miles, no rust aside from a couple of tiny spots on sunroof. asking 4k. dont flame me on the price.. i know what they "are worth", and what they sell for.. this one is clean, and VERY solid.
email me for pics.. DO NOT mssg me here.. i dont get the messages that i have PMs waiting.. its useless, so dont bother.. please!!!

the other car is my beloved 1990 S52/E30. :(

brilliantrot on a mostly black (converted from tan) interior. body is STRAIGHT and rust free. (tiny tiny spots on sunroof)
there is ONE small ding on the driver's door.
driver's fender has been replaced, front bumper painted, as well as mirrors... its never been hit, but the previous owner was meticulous about this car. i have ALL records of every bit of service thats ever been performed. a huge folder of notes and receipts.

    engine/trans 1999 S52 converted to OBD1 65k miles
LSD rear is from a 2000 Mcoupe.
UUC aluminum flywheel and stage 2 clutch
UUC RSC stainless exhaust. true dual setup, with dual cats. no fake BS here.
    5 lug swapped with E30 M3 parts.
Mtech 2 steering wheel, M3 gauge cluster, UUC short shift kit with weighted knob. suspension bushings are the green poly ones..i forget who makes them.
wheels are staggered DS2s with 12mm spacers in the rear... ive roller the fenders a bit, but they still rub a tiny bit when cornering hard, or with passengers in the back. i think it can be sorted with a slightly smaller spacer, like 10mm.
AC works, power steering works, engine bay is as clean as it can possibly get. this job was FINALLY done correctly, after a douchebag from north jersey managed to make a complete mess of the drivetrain swap. it cost me an additional 8k to get it right, but it was well worth it, in terms of "driveability".
this is an original iS car, which was converted from auto to 5sp.

here's some older pics, from when the swap was first completed.. it is A LOT nicer under the hood now.

i plan to pull it out of the garage next week and take some recent pics, with updated engine bay, and E36 factory CD player installed.

interested parties should contact me for pics and other info.. im sure im leaving a ton of information out. this car has been completely rebuilt from end to end. ideally, i'd like to swap this car for a 2001 or later mini cooper. the other E30 could go along in the trade, if something like that were to happen. if i dont have that kind of option, i'd like to get somewhere around 15k for the car. less than half of what i have into it.

email sefb13 at gmail dot com

    thanks!

thanks folks.. im bummed to even think about it, but im 34 yrs old, have two kids and a wife, a shit ton of bills, and a ridiculous amount of toys that i really dont need. i've spent the greater portion of my adult life traveling the world, dating crazy girls, buying dumb stuff, and making pictures on people's skin for good money. i've been having an f'ing blast. not saying im done having fun, but i think it's time to reel it in a little bit, and closely consider priorities... this year, my 5 yr old son starts school, and that aint cheap... his sister is only 3 yrs behind him, and as us 30-somethings (and up) know, that's no time at all.

it still may be an option, especially if i dont feel comfortable with whatever offers come my way. i'll make it fit into my life as opposed to getting low-balled.

no joke.. the dollar is so weak right now. gas is insane, and we still have 100 years of war to pay for, so we'd better buckle down! :hitler:

nah.. i have no experience w them, aside from buying some parts as a walk-in type customer, and they were super nice.

it was bill weisman of MSR "performance".

i was referred there from a guy on bimmerforums, "the mad hatter" who was friends with a mechanic who worked there. the mechanic is said to be a complete bad ass with the wrenches. so, i had the car sent from baltimore to north jersey, and pretty soon thereafter, the entire car was disassembled. everything. interior stripped down to the carpet.. complete suspension, drivetrain, dash cluster, trunk, engine bay, etc.. all gutted then cleaned...

well, as soon as my car was in pieces, said mechanic had one last and final falling out with bill weisman, and dude walked.
my car was up on a lift, a bare shell.
the owner, bill, never once called to tell me what was going on. i didnt know he didnt have a mechanic working there. nor did i know that he's an idiot who shouldnt even hold a wrench, let alone, turn one on a car.

week after week, i got more excuses as to what was taking so long.

i finally got the info after reading a HUGE thread about how big of a piece of shit bill weisman actually is.

finally, i said.. "im coming up on tuesday, and taking the car in whatever condition it's in. i will bring a flatbed, if need be."

i arrived, and my car wasnt there.. "its in the exhaust shop, getting that wraped up. then a few loose ends, and you'll be on the road in a couple hours". ok cool. exhaust guy calls, i go pick it up with bill. the first thing the dude says is something like "i know i quoted you 300 for the install, but it's gonna be 500". um, ok.. whatever. just gimme the fucking car.
it gets hauled back to MSR "PERFORMANCE" and we go in...

                oh. shit.

i got there to discover a complete horror scene for someone who is attached in any way to his car. it was like someone tried to steal the car, one piece at a time, in the dark, then dropped all of the pieces when they heard the cops coming. there were puddles of various fluids all over the floor, with pieces of my interior soaking them up like tan sponges.

all screws were strewn about the floor, in little piles of mixed size hardware. like, why bother even making piles? why not just throw the screws at passing cars? it would be just as effective a means of keeping them organized.

the wheels which were removed from the car, and sold to a member here, were sitting in a stack for OVER A MONTH after he swore up and down that they were shipped... there they were, in his shop. he told me they were sent back for a wrong address... oh, good thing you fucking unwrapped them completely, and "threw away the packaging", you lying sack of shit.

his "office" was a rat's nest of dirty laundry, old paperwork, empty soda bottles, and a medium dog of some sort. turns out he was sleeping there on the couch for a while. there's pics of his office on bimmer forums somewhere.. i'll have to go find them.

anyway, im disgusted, but i want to get on the road... i start grabbing wrenches and jumping into it. i keep finding weird stuff, like the charcoal canister ZIP-TIED to the fuel line, for example... ugh, just get me the hell out of here... we get the AC connected, but it wont charge because bill weisman had some janky-ass hoses made, instead of just ordering the ones from zionsville like i'd asked. i mean.. i have given him 12k in parts alone, and im gonna slack on a set of 200 dollar hoses? gimme a break.

the "cold air intake" was literally some ricer accessory that he ran to pep-boys for, on his way to get his daily double-fatburger from wendy's. it was some cheesy ass plastic crap, with no brackets or anything to hold it in place. umm.. whats that? we've been planning this car for months, working on it for even longer, and you go out NOW to buy a 30 dollar intake from pep-boys, after ive given you a blank check to buy parts??!!! "oh, these are great! i use them all the time!" i should have known better than to question a guy who's working on a car, in an allegedly professional garage, wearing flip flops.

around 1AM its getting close.. the interior is almost back together.. im doing a good deal of the buttoning up...

more on this tomorrow.. im too tired to type the rest. but it gets way better.

well, that WAS my original plan..... i made a post about it over at bimmerforums, and that mad hatter dude PMd me, and said that they suck, and his boy at MSR would do a better job of it. he'd been on that board for a while, and he's a moderator who folks seem to respect, so i took his advice.

ok.. im really off to bed this time... more on the swap story tomorrow.

What about a trade for a '99 C43 AMG w/ Oregon plates? 100k miles, documented, 3rd owner, purchased as a CPO car under warranty 2.5 years ago. Let me know if you are interested, unfortunately I'm in TX (as is the car) so it would be a bit of a drive
