    WTT: 1991 525i 5spd for your e30

1991 BMW 525i with 375k on the clock. Runs like it has half of that. I'm not sure when or if the engine was rebuilt but it really runs well regardless. I bought the car off of a 16 year old girl that didn't know how to drive stick. Her parents bought it for her off of one of their friends that used the car to travel back and forth from md to va. She didn't care to learn to drive stick so she put it on craigslist and I went and bought it thinking it would need a lot of work. But honestly, the only thing that I HAD to replace was the slave cylinder. The rest of the things were done as preventative maintenance. The car was taken care of most of its life, Ive seen a lot of parts replaced with BMW dealer parts and all of the parts I replaced were OE equipment as well.

Car is inspected in PA until 10/09

    Engine:
    375,xxxk
Waterpump and thermostat done at 360k
    Plugs at 360k
    New belts at 360k
    Valve cover gasket at 366k
    K&N air filter at 370k
    Oil pan gasket at 375k
Oil changed at 5k intervals since Ive owned it (355k) with Mobile clean 5,000
Magnaflow high flow cat, Borla stainless muffler, Magnaflow 3" tips (Car is currently straight-piped bc the cat failed, I have another Magnaflow cat to go with the car though. Just haven't gotten it installed yet)

    Drivetrain:
    Clutch feels great
New slave cylinder done at 355k
    New guibo at 357k
New center support bearing at 357k
    New trans mounts at 357k
    New engine mounts at 375k

    Exterior:
Has normal dings on the doors, all quarter panels and fenders are straight though
Paint is about 6ish out of 10. Shines up nice, just has some blemishes here and there.
    Mtech side skirts
    Ebay lip spoiler
    Shadowlined trim
    Reiger front lip
    New front and rear "roundels"

    Suspension:
Nex coilovers with 2" shortened strut housings (only 5k or so on the setup)
    Newer tie rods
    FRESH alignment (1 week ago)
Pads and rotors are good, car stops very well

    Wheels:
    Staggered 18x8.5 and 18x10 Rondell 58's
225/40 and 255/40 Michelins of some sort (cant remember at the moment)
Front tires are toast but ill throw in some good 235/40 with a ton of tread

15x6 or 6.5 Steelies with Cadillac hubcaps
    205/65 Goodyear Ultra Grip ice
Tires have a ton of life left and will get you anywhere you need to go in the worst of conditions.

    Interior:
I recently installed a very nice interior out of a 94, Parchment (tan) with all of the woodgrain trim. The entire thing, carpet to headliner was replaced. The only blemish of the whole interior I would say is the drivers seat has a split in the seam of the bolster. The interior is now, a real strong point on the car.

    Known bad:
CEL on due to O2 sensor being disconnected. Car hesitated when I first bought it so I unplugged the sensor and its ran flawless ever since so I never replaced it.
Passenger front door handle is missing. A friend tried opening the door when it was locked and simply broke it off. This may or may not be fixed soon.
Center console window switch. I spilled a LARGE fountain Sprite in my car when I had the old interior in and forgot to grab the switch out of the donor car. All of the buttons work still except the one for the passenger rear, it works when it wants to. (at the console switch, it always works at the switch on the door)
Car was involved in a minor front end collision at some point. The bumper is slightly tweaked on the drivers side and the fender gap is a little messed up at the parking light as well. Should be fairly easy to fix, it just hasn't bothered me enough to tend to it though it was on my list.

It is honestly difficult for me to think of anything else wrong with the car. It runs great, handles amazing, and looks beautiful (with the Rondells). The car doesn't act its mileage whatsoever. My friend has a car identical to mine, 91 525i 5spd, black with 92k miles and it cant even come close to mine. My car out performs his in EVERY single category. The only reasons I'm looking to get rid of it are, I miss my e30 and that I simply get bored with cars. Ive had this one for over a year now which is the longest I've owned one yet.

Here are some pics a friend shot of it two weeks ago before I took the Rondells and Reiger lip off for the winter...

    Interior...

And here's some shitty cell phone pics of how it looks now, in winter mode...
    Steelies

    Caddy hubcaps ;)

A pic of how clean the head is...

I'm looking preferably for a late model 325is. But Id settle for a late model 325i, 318is, or even a very clean early model 325is'. Obviously a totally straight up trade isn't too likely, so we could throw some cash either way or keep certain parts on either end to make everything as fair as possible. Show me what you got!!!

Hmm possibly. I'd be looking to get around $4k outright. Thank you!

Hmm. Thats a decent looking car there. The only thing that scares me is the sludge build up on the bottom end. What did you have in mind as far as doing the actual swap? I know I can't afford to take a bunch of time off of work to drive halfway across the country to trade cars...

Wowow, looks very clean for the mileage, I don't think i've ever seen an m50powered car go so high.

This is exactly what I'm looking for to replace my current two car fleet. Hopefully they'll sell and i'll contact you.
My e30 and e28 are both up for sale::
