*SOLD*: Slicktop E30 Touring with full service history

Selling a solid slicktop E30 Touring with full service history

This is an 07/1989 registered 318i in the rare slicktop (no sunroof) configuration.
2 owners from new. Fully maintained by the book. All documentation included and always garage kept!

169000 miles on the clock and a full CarFax report available to back that up.

The exterior is beautiful in Diamondblack metallic with a nice but plain grey cloth interior. The interior was protected with seat covers (as shown in some of the pictures).

It has the optional Power-steering, which is a must in my opinion. Central locking, that actually works! And actually not much more. Of course the stuff that is common on these cars like tinted glass, power mirrors, but other than that it’s a real basic car. (no AC, no power windows, no ABS, no sunroof, etc.) but it does have a trailer hitch!

The current inspection is valid until 15-11-2021 and you can drive it anywhere. It’s very reliable and drives rock solid with no funny noises, vibrations or whatever.
Because it’s only 1182KG (~2600LBS) the 1.8 liter M40 engine that puts out 115HP performs surprisingly well.
The 5 speed overdrive makes the car handle great, it’s light and nimble and the power-steering makes it drive like a modern car.
The interior is nice and clean, with an amazing dash with not a single crack.
Roofliner has been renewed last year and looks stunning, instrument cluster works 100% and all the electrics, heater, etc do their work as it should.

Body-wise it is really solid, no rust, never in an accident, straight body. It does have a few small dings and dents and some scratches as expected on a 30 year old car. The trunk lid/hatch, that is infamous for its rust problems is in exceptional good shape.

I’m selling this E30 for a firm €5000 or $5600 and I can ship/export it anywhere. I’ve been selling and exporting BMW’s to the US for 10 years now and know exactly how to get the car to you save and without any difficult paperwork issues or other expensive work. Typical price to get the car to the US and have all costs included (Customs duty, import fees, paperwork, local handling, etc.) runs around $2200 so for $7800 you can have this cool car in your possession! ($2400 shipping for the west coast)

Car is located at my shop in the Netherlands and I have multiple video’s available in this Google Drive album: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B4...Us4TC1yRWFLVlk
Please note that it was still on steel wheels with hubcaps in some of those pictures.

Probably not with an M40 motor... We never got it here, but with enough money the CARB could approve it. Best bet is to find one with a M20B25 and maybe the M21 turbo diesel. The diesel could be a better option as it would then be smog exempt after being cleared by the CARB

So any car not intended for USDM production is considered a "grey" market car. You would need quite a bit of money, time and patience to get it to pass DOT inspections. I ran into this problem when I bought a JDM e30 mtech 2. Even though it had all necessary equipment for smog purposes... CA is a sad state...

Don't really know if it's worth the headache unless your Jay Leno; have more money than you know what to do with and have people that can handle all of the red tape.

Car sold a few weeks ago and will stay in the Netherlands!
A young couple with a newborn needed a 2nd car and this car fitted their needs.

@spiDmang More Tourings will be listed shortly.

Cool car! To be honest, I really enjoy researching automotive history, particularly the history of a particular car. On the website https://edubirdie.com/thesis-writing-service, I recently found very cool specialists who helped me write a thesis about this car and its history.
