Intermediate bearings have been becoming rare, specially the inner (have been NLA with no ETA for several months), so I decided to make them from 932 bronze. Went ahead and bought a length of material (was quite expensive) and used it up to make as many sets as I could. 932 (aka SAE 660) is the same material used in wrist pin bushings, rocker arm bushings, and in fact was the go-to choice for auto makers for cam shafts etc before babbitt became commonplace.
These install just like the stock bearings, except they will last much longer than the main/rod bearings, and would be great for those that do seasonal rebuilds/refresh.
8 sets made up, I need 2, that leaves 6 for sale. I have them listed on eBay for $279 delivered, save the eBay fees, can will do $240 shipped in USA for a direct sale to PayPal: )
Thanks for looking!
