    H&R Race Springs FS

I've got a lightly used set of H&R race springs for sale. They only had a few thousand street miles on them before the car was parked due to a leaking rear main seal.

The numbers on the front springs read:
    H&R K/O
    BMW 3/1 VA (F)

    rear springs:
    H&R F/S
    BMW 3/1 HA (R)

As far as drop goes, when they were on the car I took measurements from the center of the hubs straight up to the underside of the fender lips. Front was 12 1/4" and the rear was 13 1/4".

    $250 + shipping.

          As far as I know.
-The numbers on them don't match the sport springs and do look to be the same format as other race springs I've seen.
-The drop is substantial. Somewhere around 3"
          -They're red...

I have no idea what the spring rates of these might be.

Also, boxed they weigh about 27 pounds, and I think the box is first oversized, if anyone needs to calculate postage.

Sorry for the PO terminology. The box is about 15 x 13 x 11. Shipping to Maryland should be about $16 parcel post, or $23 for Priority Mail.

Oh, and the box weighs about 22 pounds, not the 27 that I said earlier. My mistake.

Barry, you're not thread crapping at all. If you have info to clarify what they are that's good. I was under the impression these were race springs, but...

They do look like the euro sports in the link, same number of coils, but aren't the numbers different? Aren't the numbers the same format as the ones in one of the other photos? I think I will contact H&R before going any further with these. I don't want to sell someone something that isn't what they think.

                          -Bob

The numbers from the "euro" sports in the pictures are the same as yours except for the production dates. The Race springs are very different from the sports. They are much shorter and the coils are closer together because a couple are inactive when the springs are compressed (tops ones on the front and middle ones on the rear).
