Is the M3 any different than a regular E30 pedal assembly?

Nope, I put that to indicate it was non airbag (88 M3's don't have airbags), but after I put it I quickly realized I should have just put non airbag. Oh well.

Hmm... What is the difference between air bag or non? Since I have an air bag, do I need to find an air bag car for the correct pedal assembly? Thanks.

I am not entirely sure. I know that in my mercedes the airbag was a system that came with a knee bolster. If the e30 airbag system is similar maybe the presence of a bolster affects the mounting or the swing of the pedals. Maybe someone else can chime in.

btw the only difference between a non air bag and a air bag one is a extra support that was added to help brace the shorter column on the air bag cars
so a air bag one will work with a non air bag car if the extra support is removed and a non air bag will but it wont have the extra steering column support.
looking for a e30m50 swap harness adapter pm me $150 shipped

                      This.

Also, on my swap, my non-airbag pedal box didn't have the spring stop on the front to the left of the box.

Would not having that support create a problem? I'm about to do this swap and I don't want to end up with the wrong assembly. In my reading up I haven't found this mentioned.

Sorry OP for disrupting your thread. Keeps it at the top at least? And that is a sweet benz.

Not having the support won't do anything I have the airbag pedal in a early non airbag without the left outer support and it works fine.
