    What should i expect to pay for a used hood?

    Hello,

    I am putting a new hood on my 1991 325IX. I have found one that has no dents may contain small amounts of rust but not horrible. It is off a a very beat up 1984 318i would that even fit my car and what do you think i should expect to pay? Any Information helps :D

    wrong section, but I wouldn't pay anything for a hood with any rust...if you have to give him something give him 50 bucks and even thats 45 to generous

      All e30 hoods are the same. Small amounts of surface rust are not going to matter because you're going to be sanding and painting it anyway. Still, I'd say $40 or less for a mediocre condition hood.

        FWIW, a few years back I sold a lachsilber hood, very good clear coat with very few rock chips on the leading edge for $50. I cut the buyer a deal (was asking $75/ofr) since he came over and took it away. Shipping one of those things would be a bitch.
