I finished my e28 M50 swap earlier this year and unfortunately, with a new engine, a 340k mile chassis is still a 340k mile chassis. I have a line on a cooler daily driver, so I'm pulling the motor out and the other good bits and sending my e28 to the crusher.
This engine runs great, pulls strong all the way to redline. Includes the entire wiring harness, power distribution box from an e36, ECU, e34 Oil Pan and I have the e36 engine mounts for it as well. The engine was pulled from a 1992 325i. This DOES NOT include the exhaust manifolds. I don't have the e36 manifolds as I used the e34 ones for my application.
The car had 277k miles, but the engine was replaced in 2000 at 156k or something. The transmission and clutch were replaced the same year (someone was very bad to them I imagine). I got ridiculously good mileage from this engine, around 32-35mpg on the freeway with a 3.25 rear end.
I also have the e36 325i driveshaft that bolts right up to this transmission and fits the e30 great as long as you install it with the e30 CSB and reverse it from normal installation.
I've also got an m42 radiator I'll include for another $50
