This s38 long block was removed from a well running 1991 M5 with 140k and replaced with a rebuilt one due to suspected spun cylinders 3 and 5 rod bearings. No knocking or odd sounds, though every couple thousand miles it had issues with the #3 & #5 spark plugs. Pulled hard until the day it was removed

No accessories or throttle bodies/intake are included. No wiring included. Exhaust is included. The valve cover came from an engine fire s38 - This engine DID NOT suffer an engine fire. This engine would be a great candidate for a euro 3.8 rebuild.

Have a getrag 265 w/ m30 bellhousing for the swap as well if there's interest in that. It's been sitting for a couple years so it has some surface oxidation though.

I'm the seller. I mentioned it because the paint was melted off of the valve cover which came from a different engine. Didn't want to unnerve anybody

How much is a Getrag 265 going for nowadays? My 260/6 has seen better days.

You know, I don't know the running rate on the getrag. I know the 6 series guys eat them up. It's not actively on the market at the moment.

You forgot to add that it has 2 possibly spun rod bearings, with spark plug issues on those cylinders. Granted this motor is pretty damn rare...
