Are the driveshaft heat shields the same on 325 and 318 coupes?

How hard is removing that heater box (assuming dash is already out) and what kind of fan resistor does it use?

The chassis had bad QTR panel damage and the cost of the fix was well over what the car was worth.

I wouldn't have just scraped a perfectly good Alpine E30 chassis. ;)
