Which one has ~180 degree full sweep pattern?
I see 2 different price listed there.

The descriptions explains the different in price and the kit does more like approx 160 degree sweep which is pretty much most of the windshield.

Not possible to do 180 as the arm is mounted below the windshield for it to do 180 the wiper blade would have to go pass the bottom of the windshield on both sides.

Its has same sweep as the ones that are selling on ebay from the UK and the other brands on the market only difference is I make mine with oem assemblies and others are off brand and not oem.

Ok, just to make sure it is full sweep, same as this one:

Available, quick and easy install once you've removed your old one.

Also have an auction started for one on ebay.

So this may be a stupid question but can you set it to stop in the middle, also once i do the modification is it possible to return to the stock setup? Thanks...

Also will it sweep off heavy snow?.. how powerful is it?

Yes having it stop in the middle and the opposite side is done simply by moving the pivot mounted to the motor either 45 degrees or 180 degrees form it's current location

Hard to say I grew up in Vancouver Canada and have seen my fair share of snow and I've had stock wipers on my cars that couldn't move snow off the windshield due to the weight.

If you mean will it push snow off while you drive in the winter I'd say yes since it works the same as the regular wipers only difference is it's one arm instead of 2

                        You're forgetting 2 things:
                        1) At the end of the stroke from 1 side of the windshield to the other side you're pushing twice as much as much snow with the single blade as each of the 2 blades push do since they only travel on half the windshield
                        2) When you shorten the drive link to make the single wiper move twice as far you've cut the available torque of the wiper arm by half

So, twice as much snow, half the power. Of course the wiper motor is pretty strong, ever tried to stop a blade in motion?

Anyone have any experience with the mono set-up?

No I wasn't forgetting, but once again someone has to come into a For Sale thread and make a big deal about a basic statement, I wasn't trying to start a debate about how one arm strokes more and less compared to 2.

If you aren't interested in the item I'm selling don't post it clearly states that in the FS thread rules don't post or send me an PM if you want to flex your muscle on your knowledge of friction and geometry.

What I meant is that a wiper blade is not meant to be used to clear off your windshield when your car has been sitting after a dump of snow. That's what snow brushes are used for.

I ran mono wiper setup on many of my cars that I made myself and never had an issue. I've been driving close to 20 years grew up in Vancouver so I've experienced real snow fall not the stuff they get her in Cali.

All the kits are made the same it's basic geometry it's not like one brand is better than the other since they all use the stock motor only difference is the name on the box.

Anyone can do this if they have a welder, time and understand how the system works.

I'm simply selling a kit that is ready to go and saves you the time and hassle of having to do it yourself and risk screwing it up in the process.

The concept is the same on most cars, as long as your center wiper arm is close to the center of the windshield it most likely can be done.

I've also made them for other makes not just BMW I only make the e30 one because I have a jig setup for it.

Not trying to make a big deal but I just don't think you answered 801coppertop's question as fully as it could have answered and I believe when someone is potentially spending >$100 on a product he should have all the pertinent info. Is good to know you've used this set-up in in the snow and haven't had any issues as I have also been looking into buying or building one of these kits.

Could you post a video of mono wiper in action. I would like to see where it reaches and stops. Thanks
