        i'm interested in one...

but first... is there a different wiper arm needed to get the full range of the sweep, and, is there a cowl vent cover available without the hole for the wiper stub?

You would reuse one of your existing arms with a larger wiper blade. To allow full sweep is done by using the modified wiper assembly I'm selling. There is no vent cover available usually the aftermarket kits came with a plug to cover the hole but finding something to cover it isn't too hard.

What size blade is needed, and do you have to modify the arm?
I have heard conflicting stories on this.

Unless I'm mistaken, you can order the "Passenger" side cover from a RHD E30, and have no stub for the wiper arm.

Good tip. I've seen this cover without the hole before so I know it's available.

After seeing the pic, the first thing that came to mind was how useful it would be for wiping cocaine off the windshield, lol. I'm curious, does it park the wiper anywhere or only in one position?

You can make it park anywhere on the windshield it's just a matter of moving the pivot that bolts onto the motor. If you flip it 180 degrees from it's current position it will stop on the drivers side. 90 degrees and it will stop in the middle which takes a bit to get right in order for it to stop dead center.

In the picture my arm is modified which makes the blade sit straight with the arm. If it wasn't modified the blade would be slanted and about 15 degrees from the arm. It works either way.

You actually would need the bump in order to clear the part of the assembly that comes out and still has to bolt up to the body. The part that comes out that the arm used to mount to is cut off which makes it flush to the to the opening of the grill. If the RHD grill is used it will hit the mount of the assembly.

I have one for sale on ebay which comes with a new blade, modified wiper arm, and the same cap as the one I used on mine which would need to be glued to the grill.
