    Kirk 6-point bolt-in roll cage

FS: Kirk 6-point bolt-in roll cage

This is a used roll cage that I picked up a few weeks ago, but have since decided to go with a custom cage. There is no damage of any sort. The paint is still decent on all tubes, but the plates could use a cleaning and repainting.

    The tubes are 1.75"x.095".

    It includes:
-Main hoop with diagonal and harness bar
    -Front down tubes
    -Rear tubes
    -Windshield tube
-2 door bars, one on each side
    -1 dash bar, needs fitted
-6 base plates for under the car
    -Hardware

Price is starting at $600, picked up in Ephrata PA, 17522. Will not ship.
    Edit: New price: $550
    Edit: New price: $500

The door bars are taped in place in the pic because the ends need welded. It was never fully installed since new. They are removable after welding, there is a sliding sleeve system.

FWIW, I have had one of these shipped half way across the US via Greyhound for ~$100.

Yeah, I think I'm willing to ship it. I'm sure we can make it happen reasonably, since it's such an expensive item. However, the buyer will need to cover any and all related expenses.

You should try the Lemons (24hoursoflemons.com) forum for this. Lots of people are choosing e30s for their Lemons car and this would be a great budget cage install.

Do you know what the metal is?

Can you confirm that you have the size correct? As far as I can tell, the SCCA rulebook requires 1.750''x0.120'' or 1.625''x0.095" chromoly.

I have confirmed the specs with Kirk, 1.75x.095 DOM.

There is no general "requirement". Every organization, each class within the organization, and even the race weight of the car, will determine what cage specs are required. Most of the common classes for e30's within most common organizations, including NASA, SCCA, etc... with typical race weight (up to 2700 or so) specify 1.75x.095 DOM.

I think you have your numbers backwards. Instead of 1.75x.120 and 1.625x.095, you probably meant 1.75x.095 and 1.625x.120.

                        SCCA 2010 GCR:

                        1701 - 2699 lbs:
                        1.500 x .095
                        1.625 x .080

                        2700 lbs and up:
                        1.750 x .095
                        1.625 x .120

                        1.500” x 0.095”

                        2501 - 3000 lbs.
                        1.500” x 0.120”

Sorry you're right, I misread it, should be 1.750x.095, thanks!

Do you think it would fit in the back of a medium SUV disassembled (seats flat)? I have a late model 4Runner. The cargo area is pretty cavernous, I'm hoping this would fit.

Easily. Fit in my 97 Explorer with room to spare. I had the same concerns when I picked it up, and was surprised how well it fit.

I fit the same cage in my E30 without the pasenger seat, picking it up from the greyhound station.
